Today's post is a special post and one that we at Layers of Color have mixed feelings about - the theme of Forever Friends and we are honouring our dear friend and sistah - Grace !
I know Grace is no stranger to many of you, she blesses you with her works of art and of the heart and touches many lives each day with her love and faith, that is so very much part of who she is!
Grace is a talented, hardworking and devoted designer, on so many Design Teams and is moving into a new season - Grace is stepping down from the official Design Team due to her physical limitations, however she doesn't plan on going far.... as of today, Grace will be a Retired Layers of Color Designer.
Although no longer a member of the Design Team, Grace will be an official "Friend of LOC". Grace has a connection with LOC that goes beyond Team commitments - the heart connections that have grown so strong mean that we are not saying "Goodbye" but, "See you around my friend". We have all grown close and will always be Friends Forever!
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Grace as a very dear friend, who holds a special place in my heart - we have had the pleasure of being Twisted Sistah's together and working on both Stampin' Sisters in Christ and Layers of Color Design Teams.
Grace you know I love you Sistah and it is always so hard to put into words what the heart wants to say - but this song by Michael W Smith and Amy Grant expresses it so well - Friends are Friends Forever!
Grace, we love and admire you - in honor of you, your Layers of Color friends and sisters have each created a special post for you. If you are hopping along from the Layers of Color Blog, you will have been inspired by Nina's Crafting in Croatia
I know that wherever the Lord leads Grace, she will find much success and fulfillment. We wish her all the best and I hope you will be sure to stop by Grace;s inspiring Blog 'Th-INK-ing of you' today and give her some of that 'loving' you are so good at!! I know I am not alone in saying that I will not be a stranger on her blog and continue to always leave inspired.
God be with you and keep your body and soul well, our precious friend!

Your card is made with such love, Linda. It's so beautiful, likewise of your sweet words honoring Grace! I'm so thankful that God has blessed this team with her friendship! That's a gift we'll always treasure!
ReplyDeleteWow, Linda, this is so so beautiful! I simply love the LOC stamps = have them on my Christmas list! And what incredibly sweet words for Grace. She is such a caring person. Thank you for playing in our Paper Romance Challenge.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Oh your card is soooo pretty! I love it's softness and feminine feel with that touch of shabby chic that I love so much! I read your words through teary eyes... didn't realize how difficult this was going to be! But I so have enjoyed my time on teh LOC DT! You and Laura and the entire team are such a joy to know and love! I love the song you linked!!! That brought tears to me eyes as I remember leaving our Church many years ago when we were moving away and the youth group that we had been leaders of sang this for us our last week. Talk about water works!!! The words are precious and I'm so glad that as sisters in Christ there are no real goodbyes... we are eternally linked!!! Thank you for all your support and love Linda and I'm so glad I won't be far away! I can't wait to see all God is going to do through LOC.... and I'll be the one pulling up the rear... running along with you all but just a a little slower pace!!! I love you Linda and treasure the person you are! God bless you richly my friend!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Grace

Oh this is just beautiful and love the way you colored the flowers. Your easel card design is just a work of art and love the way you layered the Nesties!! Grace is one special lady and will be missed by the LOC DT, but so thankful she will still be a "Friend of LOC!"
ReplyDeleteLinda, I can so see Grace when looking at your card. What a lovely tribute. I love that Michael W. Smith song. I just had to write another verse to it.
ReplyDelete"Friends are friends forever.
Though they've not met face to face.
And Friends have come together.
Sisters because of GRACE.
They like to spend their days
crafting and giving praise
To the one true God above,
who showers them with love.
No a lifetimes not too long to live as friends."
I love all the cut out layers. The amount of sponging you did is fantastic. I love the trim and ribbon!
Have a blessed day my FRIEND.
