Emboss Resist Tutorial
You will need:
You will need:
VersaMark™ ink
White embossing powder
Embossing Buddy™
Heat gun
Powder Pal™
Stamps (I have used Layers of Color Cottage Rose cling art stamp
and The Love Chapter art stamp set)
and The Love Chapter art stamp set)
Light colored card stock (I have used a page from an old book)
Ink darker then your card stock (I have used Tim Holtz dried marigold, fired red and vintage photo}
Sponge and dauber
Paper towel or tissues
1. Rub Embossing Buddy over entire piece of card stock or DP
2. Ink stamps with VersaMark™ and stamp on card stock or DP.
3. Pour white embossing powder over stamped image, completely covering the image.
** Clear embossing powder can be used and often is, but it would not show up as well on this DP**
4. Heat powder with heat gun until it melts and the image becomes shiny. be careful not to overheat a the image will loose its gloss. Let cool.
5. Sponge over your card stock/DP with the lightest Ink - continue it well past the image
6. Add the next colour
7. I have chosen to sponge just over the rose and colour the leaves in green.
Reap the process until you have achieved the desired look.
8. To add more depth to the stamped images, try adding more in the same color(s) used for sponging
9. Use a paper towel to rub off embossed images. The embossed images will resist the sponged ink.
