Spellbinders - Pretty Peony

Hello friends - thank you for stopping by!  You may or may not be aware that there is a New Arrivals Blog Hop happening over at Spellbinders and so much inspiration shared with the new arrivals.  You can still pop over to the Spellbinders Blog and hop along with the bloggers for a chance to win from each blogger and an opportunity to win prizes from Spellbinders - it all starts HERE

I am sharing a card created using one of the new arrival stamp and Die sets from the Cool Vibes Collection by Licensed Designer Stephanie Low.  I just love Stephanie's style - the Cool Vibes Collection by Stephanie Low is a wonderful collaboration of floral and medallion designs with a touch of hip Bohemian style.

Medium Peony Cool Vibes by Stephanie Low Stamp and Die Set

I have started by stamping the image using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  The image has been coloured using Chameleon Pens and cut/embossed using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform.

Next the Peony has been layered onto a white background cut/embossed using the Nestabilities Art Deco Fairmont Labels Etched Dies #  (#1 being the smallest).  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the Die using Imagine Delicata Ink in Golden Glitz, before removing the Die. Next it has been popped up onto a card front, also using a slightly larger Nestabilities Art Deco Fairmont Labels Etched Dies and DCWV patterned paper.  The edges have been lightly sanded using a sanding block.  This has been popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Want2Scrap 250 Count - Moss Green Pearls - Self Adhesive have been added around the edges of the layers.

How are you going with your Christmas card creating - I am trying to get mine done a lot earlier this year - the Stamp and Dies sets certainly make it easier and a lot quicker as you will see as you follow along with the tutorial.

1. Stamp the Nativity image using Black ink.
2. Colour using  Chameleon Art Pens.
3. Cut/emboss the Diamond Die from the Nativity Etched Dies.

5. Cut/emboss Gold card stock using the Art Deco Ritz Labels.
6. Pop Up the coloured image onto the Gold Art Deco Ritz Labels using 3D Foam Squares.

7. Cut/emboss patterned paper using Curved Rectangles #5. (#1 being the smallest)

8. Adhere the layered, stamped image onto the centre of the card front.

9. Adhere Baby Bling to each corner.
10.Cut/emboss four (4) Graceful Corners One  using yellow card stock.

Poinettia Christmas

Hello friends, it is a Public Holiday here - apparently not all of Australia but definitely the Nations Capital - Canberra for those of you who don't know!!  I am continuing on with the run of creating Christmas Cards - and being conscious of  how many Christmas Cards need to be posted and therefore the bulk needs to be kept to a minimum - a challenge for those of us who like layer upon layer!

I have stamped the image from the Spellbinders Nativity Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set  repeatedly onto white card stock using Imagine Memento ink in Memento Black.  The background has then been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk, using a Sponge Dauber to blend the inks together.

Next stamp cleaner has been spritzed onto the inked card front - don't you love the effect that it has - gently dab with  tissue to remove excess.  The Poinsettia's have then been coloured using Chameleon Pens.

The sentiment from the Nativity Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set has been stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink, trimmed, a dove tail added and adhered to the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner.    The card front has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies Venise Lace by Becca Feeken and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.  This has been popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape.

Christmas Wreath - with Love

Hello friends, I seem to be on a run of creating Christmas Cards - but that has to be good - right!? I wanted to try a little something different with this set. I am also conscious of how many Christmas Cards need to be posted and therefore the bulk needs to be kept to a minimum - a challenge for those of us who like layer upon layer!

I have stamped the image from the Spellbinders Open Me Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set repeatedly onto white card stock using Imagine Memento ink in Memento Black.  The background has then been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk, using a Sponge Dauber to blend the inks together and leaving the inside of the wreathes uninked, ready for a sentiment.

Next stamp cleaner has been spritzed onto the inked card front - don't you love the effect that it has - gently dab with  tissue to remove excess.  The wreaths have then been coloured using Chameleon Pens.

The sentiment is also from the Open Me Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set  and has been stamped in the centre of the wreaths using Rhubarb Stalk ink.  The second sentiment from the Nativity Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set has been stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink, trimmed and layered onto slightly larger gold card stock and adhered to the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner.  An edge strip of patterned paper has been added and the card front adhered to a pre-cut card base.
