Winnie the Pooh Birthday

I am back with a little change of pace for me - do you remember what life was like before it got complicated?  Winnie the Pooh takes me straight back to that place in my childhood - such a wonderful time.

While sorting through some bits and pieces I came across some Winnie the Pooh stickers I have had for years and decided it was time I used them to create a child's birthday card - what child does not love Winnie the Pooh - he is timeless!

I layered the sticker onto white card that has been cut/embossed with the  Labels Twenty-Nine Spellbinders® Nestabilities.  This has then been popped up using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ foam dots into blue card embossed using the So Trendy Spellbinders® M-Bossabilities™ folder, using the Grand Calibur® machine.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and has been cut/embossed with the Ribbon Banners
Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur® machine.  The flower is an older one form my stash - by KaiserCraft.

This card is for the following challenges:

Air Tutorial August - Authentique

I am back with my second Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko Artist in Residence Tutorial for August - this months Theme Challenge is to use some of the gorgeous Authentique Papers - not a challenge at all - a pleasure!  I am using some of the gorgeous Seasons Collection.

  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™
  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink in Peanut Brittle

  • IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink
Preferred Promotional Partners:

Other: Maya Road - flowers, Want2Scrap© - Swirls Finesse in LeCreme, Blue Seam Binding, White card, Kraft card, double sided tape, foam tape

Start by cutting and embossing one (1) Gold Majesty Circles Spellbinders® Imperial Gold Die with white card.  You are using the #5 and #6 Dies, #6 being the cutting edge, without it you will get a inlaid pattern on your card stock.  Before removing the card from the Die, use the Die as a stencil and sponge around the edges using the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™ and Memento™ Dye Ink in Peanut Brittle

Adhere the outside layer of the sentiment from Authentique on narrow foam tape, pop the middle portion of the sentiment into the center, using thicker foam tape to add extra height, as shown in the photos below.

Fold a  30sm x 11cm piece of card in half, forming the card base.  Adhere a piece of Authentique paper cut slightly smaller.

Thread a length of Seam Binding through the Layered Dies Die before adhering it to the  patterned paper, tucking the ends to the back of the paper.  Add a double Seam Binding bow to the left of  the Layered Dies, as shown in the main photo.

Ink the outside edges of the flowers using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink and a IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Dauber™.  Cut the stems off, and glue them to the Seam Binding bow, as shown below.

Finish off by adhering the Want2Scrap© - Swirls Finesse in LeCreme as shown below.

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
