The Beach

Hello friends, I hope you are all enjoying the change of season - whatever it may be for you.  In the Southern Hemisphere we are going from summer to Autumn/fall and it is a spectacular time here in Australia,  I thought I would pop in a beach card before it becomes a distant memory!

I have used bits and pieces that have gathered on my desk, from projects I have finished - or started and left them aside for one reason or another.  The stamp set is from JustRite Papercraft  - it is an older set but still a goodie.

I have stamped the sentiment using Imagine Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle and the shells in Dandelion and Espresso Truffle. This has been layered onto a Spellbinders Die using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and onto Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor Card Creator Die also using 3D Foam Squares.  The layers have been adhered to the pre-cut card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner.  I have finished off by tying raffia around the lower portion of the stamped layer and secured it using a button - I had to add a touch of blue as it was for the beach! Wink:wink!

Monchromatic Thanks

Hello friends, I hope you are all well and surviving whatever weather you are experiencing - there have certainly been some extremes these past few days.  Although it is summer here, we have had a fair bit of rain - it is lovely and unusual seeing the grass so green in January - especially when drought is not rare for us.

Today I am sharing a monochromatic card with you - I love these earthy tones.  Some Dies just seem to find their way to my desk, time and time again - and the Gold Majesty Circles Spellbinders® Imperial Gold die is one of those. It has been cut/embossed using white cardstock and adhere to a card base with patterned paper already attached.

The Lacey Circles Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Decorative Elements dies has been cut/embossed using Authentique Paper  - Glistening Collection and popped up on  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension.  The last layer has been cut/embossed using the Rounded Squares Nestabilities.  All Dies have been cut using the  Spellbinders™ Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Vintage lace (removed from a doily- shhh) has been added, along with  Want2Scrap© 72 Count - LeCreme Pearls - Self Adhesive and some flowers from my stash.

This card is for the following challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge - Anything Goes option of Happy Birthday

Nostalgic Bithday Wishes

It feels so good to play with stamps and inks 'just because' - not that I don't enjoy creating for the Design Teams I am on - I do love that and we all know they are the best Companies - but sometimes we just need to touch base with our 'beginnings' and that for me is vintage.

I have always loved the Material girl stamp set from Crafty Secrets and have looked at it so often thinking about what to create - it was definitely overdue to be 'inky.'

I also used the 'Notably Ornate' set by Stampin' Up! which is a favourite, so could not resist combining the two to create some cards for Card Design Class next week - this is the first of two.

The frame by Stampin' Up, the bling from Want2Scrap©  and the sentiment by JustRite® Papercraft.  I have used IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink for sponging - it has the the right amount of shimmer for this nostalgic card.

The Labels Twenty-Three  and the Grand Labels Twenty-Three Spellbinders® Nestabilities® have been cut using the  Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine I have also used
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser

Just Because

It was Card Design Class last night, I always try to bring a variety of techniques and styles to the projects I teach the ladies.

I have had this Faux Watercolouring technique on my mind for weeks and have finally managed to get it onto card, using a Penny Black®, Inc. stamp.

I have used the Decorative Labels Eight Spellbinders® Decorative Elements Nestabilities® for the card base, the image is stamped directly onto it using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Inks in Bamboo Leaves, Lulu Lavender and Lilac Posies.

The stamped were inked using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™ then the paper was spritzed with water before stamping, giving a watercolour effect.

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Large Fancy Sentiment stamp sets and the Pearls from Want2Scrap©.

This card is for the following challenges:

MilkCoffee Challenge - Summer fun

Shell Beauty

I have been inspired by this gorgeous card by Linda Duke using the Spellbinders® Shell Beauty 3D M-Bossabilities™ folder and have unashamedly CASED her - (Copy And Share Everything!)

Although, I did follow the rules and changes two things....one of them being that I used

IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Ink rather than Glimmer sprays.  I was so inspired by the way Linda used the Shell Beauty Spellbinders® 3D M-Bossabilities™ folder - but seriously - who wouldn't be!!

The second change is that I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine and the Framed Tags One Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® for my tagI have to say it was tough to change anything - Linda Duke's card are 'divine' and perfect in every way!!

This card is for the following challenges:
