Material Girl

I am back with my second card for Card Design Class next week, using the fabulous Material girl stamp set from Crafty Secrets.  How divine is this sewing machine - it just had to take 'center stage'.

The image has been stamped using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Onyx Black. The frame by Stampin' Up has been stamped using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink in London Fog.  I have used IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink for sponging - it has the the right amount of shimmer for this nostalgic card.

The addition of lace, pearls, button and twine always add a nostalgic touch - all things we have at home.

The bling from Want2Scrap©

Nostalgic Bithday Wishes

It feels so good to play with stamps and inks 'just because' - not that I don't enjoy creating for the Design Teams I am on - I do love that and we all know they are the best Companies - but sometimes we just need to touch base with our 'beginnings' and that for me is vintage.

I have always loved the Material girl stamp set from Crafty Secrets and have looked at it so often thinking about what to create - it was definitely overdue to be 'inky.'

I also used the 'Notably Ornate' set by Stampin' Up! which is a favourite, so could not resist combining the two to create some cards for Card Design Class next week - this is the first of two.

The frame by Stampin' Up, the bling from Want2Scrap©  and the sentiment by JustRite® Papercraft.  I have used IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink for sponging - it has the the right amount of shimmer for this nostalgic card.

The Labels Twenty-Three  and the Grand Labels Twenty-Three Spellbinders® Nestabilities® have been cut using the  Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine I have also used
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser

Craft Central - Where It All Happens...

While I am busy working on projects that cannot be shown yet, I thought I would share my creative space - affectionately known as 'Craft Central', with you.  Up until a couple of months ago I was in the family room and love being with the family - in all honesty if I was not out there, they would hardly see me some days! LOL!

With the Design Team deadlines I have, Tutorials, Videos and Skype calls and a house full of noisy teenagers, my DH, a cat and two dogs - I could hear myself, on more than one occasion, say 'I wish I could shut a door sometimes.'

This did not fall on deaf ears - my DH did some 'shuffling' and almost instantly I had my own Studio - small and cosy - totally wonderful to  create in - and the beauty of it is - it only took an 1.5 hours to move it all in.

I love the warmth and character of an eclectic look and this works so well for me - baskets are fantastic - keeping everything together and so easy to move around - not to mention great storage.

One of my favourite things is being able to keep my Spellbinders Grand Calibur out - so quick and easy to cut Dies - and I cut so-o-o many!

Bookcases are my best friend - hold everything from papers to bling and anything inbetween!  This is a room where everything has it's place and everything goes back in it's place.

Recycling is a BIG part of my storage - one of my favourites being this Spice Rack - the best $2 I ever spent - holds my embellishments perfectly!  I use glass fishbowls for lace and vases for ribbon - you name it and you can probably find it here - keeps it interesting! LOL!

Thank you for visiting today - if only it could be in real life - the coffee is always on and the door is always open - for YOU!  Thanks for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
