LOC Elegantly Emerald

Layers of Color is sponsoring this weeks If the Shoe Fits Challenge and I am honoured to be a Guest designer, along with some of the other LOC Design Team.

The challenge is all about EMERALD - to use Emerald Bling or Green on your card

I created an envelope card - happily I was able to use something lying on my desk

and these gorgeous flowers from Petaloo, that have been sponged with Peeled Paint Distressing Ink and layered - I love the lush look of them!

I sponged the DP with the Layers of Color Vintage Medallion art stencil  using the Peeled Paint Distressing Ink.

The edges have been sponged and a Corner rounder used on the corners

The flourish is for the Old World Flourishes art stamp set and the butterfly from the Butterfly Collector art stamp set.  I have layered the butterfly to give it some movement and added a green large pearl.

MMSC114 Time Flies....

...when you are having fun - and isn't that true with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - it sure is for me!  This weeks post has mixed feelings for me as it my last as a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Design Team Member....

This Design Team is such a great group of girls - I have played along since the very first challenge, became a Guest Diva and then full time on the Team - and what a ride!!

Today's card is symbolic - the Clock hands are as near to Midnight as I could stamp them (LOL)

I have used this months sponsors flowers - thank you Petaloo for being so generous to us on the Design Team - we love it!!

The sentiment is so true - the time has flown and I have such wonderful memories to take with me - one of them being the CAR WASH - you will have to ask Charlotte about that one

 - and the gorgeous work of art that a former DT member Sue McMahon created with my DT photo when she got certified with Copics - you can see it here - infact going back to link to this post I read what I had written back on MMSC44 - that is 70 posts ago - can you believe that - and nothing has changed to I am going to quote myself - skeery eh! LOL!!

....you know, these girls are the best, I love each one of them, they have all made my life richer and I have so much fun with them. My DH often says that he has never heard me laugh so much as when I am online with the MMSC Girlz, my friends - thank you girlz - for the laugh you gave me with this photo - I love it! Nothing has changed girlz - except I {{{heart}}} you more and will miss you.. and that is all I am going to say about that - except to thank all of you for your love, support and friendship - you really have made my time on the MMSC DT so wonderful - I would love you to visit sometime!!  I am not moving on from creating - infact I have some wonderful opportunities the latter part of this year and I am having to streamline to have to have the time to be able to give these things my best - I will share with you when I can - believe me - you will hear me shouting with excitement from there!!

MMSC113 Artful Bouquet

It is time for this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - they come around quickly don't they!? If you are anything like me you are looking forward to the inspiration from Priscilla's sketches and the inspiration from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Design Team.

This week I am using an image from Layers of Color - the Artful Endearments art stamp set .  I have stamped the image twice, cutting out the flower on the second image and popping it up with 3D foam tape.  It has then been coloured with SU Chalks, cut out with a SU Scalloped Square Punch and had 3D Kindy Glitz added to the centre of the flower

along with one of the gorgeous crochet flowers from our very generous monthly sponsor Petaloo.

I have coloured the flower with Walnut Stain Distressing Ink, sponging around the edges and the very centre with a dauber.  The red tones have been added with SU Chalks - the colour went on easily and added so much warmth to the flower.  My final touch was 3D Kindy Glitz and it lifted the whole card - it is not so easy to see the glimmer here - but it is there - believe me!

The DP is from DCWV La Creme Stack, the added lace is from my stash and the gorgeous pearls are part of a RAK I received some time ago from my dear friend and DT Sistah - Gunn.  I have been saving them for special projects....they are divine!
