The Paper is Pink Paislee

The gorgeous crochet flowers and embellishments are from Craft Queen, along with the KaiserCraft sentiment.

I just had to give you a close up of the dimension of this divine flower....

Deepest Sympathy

I am sharing another card I created while I was one of the May Guest Designer's for Craft Queen, using Pink Paislee papers

There is never a good time to be making a Sympathy Card, but it is always good to have come made for those times either you or your friends need them, sadly I have needed a couple lately.

For this card I have used one of my favourite stamp sets, the retired Layers of Color Gothic Crosses. I love the rustic look of it and the effect you can get when colouring it - this set was created by my amazingly talented friend Laura Kirste Campbell.  The sentiment is also from a retired Layers of color set.

Some layered flowers on a Seam Binding Bow, from Craft Queen - I have to add here that Nicole's Booth was my all time favourite one at the Quilt and Craft Fair, she has the most beautiful embellishments.

This card is for the following challenges:
Paperminutes - Shabby Chic/Vintage
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
It's All About the Vintage - Anything Vintage
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sassy Cheryl - anything goes
Whimsy Inspiration - anything goes

I have used a set from The Crafts Meow designed by my dear friend Nina of NinaB Designs, called Sew Lovely.

and paper pieced the dress using product from Craft Queen, gorgeous Pink Paislee paper.

A wooden flower button and the addition of the thin twine and crochet lace are pretty embellishments, along with the pearl embellishments along the lace..

Along with pleated paper and an organza flower.

All come together to add an almost country shabby feel to this card.

The sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circle Nestibilities, that I have framed with the  Spellbinders Holly Accents Die, I cut the largest Motif in half the placed it each side of the Circle....giving an lovely filigree frame.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut my Dies.

Mulberry Paper roses have also been added.

Angelic Love

Pink Paislee DP - so pretty and so easy to create with, don't you love those beautiful flowers...

Filigree does not come much prettier than the Spellbinders Ironworks Motifs Dies

 - I have combined two of them as an ornate frame for this darling Cherub from the retired Layers of Color Angelic Art Stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Sent With Love set designed by Nina Brackett for The Craft's Meow.  The die is also from the Spellbinders Ironwork Motifs and Accents Dies.  All Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - would you be surprised to know it gets a workout every day!

Soft layers and a Mulberry Paper flower, along with some pearls (of course) complete this card.

SSIC LOC Joy

Sunday comes quickly - for us it is the last Sunday of the school holidays - so you can imagine my teenagers are not wanting it to end!  LOL!

Of course Sunday means it is time for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge and this week it is brought to us by MariLynn.

Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11: 28–30

Miesje's challenge is all about sharing: use 2 of everything you use. ie: 2 Dp - 2 flowers - 2 stamps - whatever you use must be doubled.

I have taken a liberty with this challenge (sori Miesje - LOL!)  I have created a card doing as the challenge says but have not used two of the same image but two images instead - I am hoping this is okay - I don't want to break the RULZ!  LOL!

I have use two DP's from Pink Paislee and have two loops on my bows and added too many pearls - LOL - you have to give me points for trying!  Oh and my lace is double edged - and I am sure that counts!!

The images are from the Layers of Color Christmas Verses and Royal Birds art stamp sets, the Nestibilitie is Spellbinders Lattice Frames and has been cut with the Grand Calibur - and just to do it right I ran it through twice! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - Create something for an up coming holiday
Little Claire's - Christmas
Marks Finest Papers - Seeing Double
Squiggles and Giggles - 1stW Christmas
Crafty Ann's - Inspired by a Christmas Song  (Joy to the World)
Fabulous Friday - A Fancy Trim
Floweret - Christmas
Crafty Ribbons - Ribbon and Lace
Forever Friends - must include an animal - Use Sentiment
Meljens Designs - Use a Ribbon
 Stampin' B's - Use a bird on a card
By the Cute & Girly Anything Goes

What a comforting scripture - burdens are cumbersome and can be overwhelming - it is easy to give up the BIG ones, those that are so obvious....why then it is we seem to hold onto the smaller ones, that seem to trouble us only a little at first?  The weight of them can slowly build until unknowingly we become trapped under the weight of it.  It is then we wonder what is wrong - why are feeling like we have the weight of the world on our shoulders!?

It is pointless to try and battle on, when Jesus clearly says we must FIRST come to Him and then take on HIS yoke - for it is easy and His burden light - it makes we wonder why it takes me so long to some to this place at times - thankfully it is a daily walk and His mercies are new every morning!!

Sparkle

I am back with another quick card - there have been a lot of those lately, I am creating these inbetween the New Release projects I am creating - I am looking forward to being able to show you some of those soon!!

This card is created using a Hero Arts image that has very kindly been lent to me by my dear friend Denise.  I do love chandeliers - they are so ambient and bring such a wonderful feel, although they can be considered Retro, they will always be elegant and timeless - and you have to love that!!

I have used some Pink Paislee patterned paper offcuts that have been gathering on my desk

Added an older Stampin' Up sentiment from the Warm Words set, some pleated DP and this divine trim, also from a RAK - thank you to my friends - you are all so good to me and help make my cards interesting!!

I have added a border strip using the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, this has been cut with the Spellbinders grand Calibur.

Don't you just love to see those bits and pieces we collect on our desks, come together as something pretty - it makes my day when I know I am doing something to save the planet!  LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
