Guest Designer Part Two

I am back to share the other two cards I created as a Guest Designer for the Craft Queen back in May. You can see the first two cards here, or scroll down to the previous post.
I have created these cards using some of the divine papers from Echo Park.

The image NinaB Designs set for The Craft's Meow is stamped onto Spellbinders Labels Eighteen Nestabilities and layered onto the Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

and for my final card I have used the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three Shapeabilities®  and the border Die from the Ironworks Accents Shapeabilities®.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.  I have used ribbons and embellishments on all of the above cards, Nicole has so many divine products available in her store - it is so worth a visit!!

SSIC Shining

It is time for this week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge and this week I am honoured to be the hostess.  We are really blessed to see so many of you playing along and love to read your comments and encouragement - thank you!

The scripture I have chosen is:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
 Psa 119:105
and my challenge is to create a card/project in soft pastel palette - black or white can be used as a neutral.
I have create dtwo cards for this weeks challenge, the first is using a free digital image and Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles along with the Fancy Tags Three - the divine bling is Nestabling from Want2Scrap and the paper is from My Mind's Eye™
My second card has been created using a scripture from our sponsor, Inspired Stamps.  I was thrilled to see one of the sets I received from Antionette had the very scripture for this weeks devotional and I could not resist using it!

I have also used Spellbinders Floral Oval, all Dies on both cards have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

A Seam Binding bow and a gorgeous bling corner designed by NinaB Designs for Want2scrap.

The lamp is an imageby Darkroom Door....it is the first time I have inked it and definitely will not be the last!!
This card is for the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas - Make it Girlie  - card 1
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - Something New (bling) - both cards
Fairy Fun Fridays -  Anything with Flowers - card 1
Fussy and Fancy - Punches / Dies - both cards
Charisma Cardz - Shabby chic
Colour CreateYellow, blue and white with an optional extra of Shells
Craft Us Crazy - Mother's Day and/or flowers
Shelly's Images - Anything goes
Little Claire's   - Spring
Rogue Redhead Designs  - Spring Fashion Colours
This verse of scripture always speaks to me of how specific God is - he is a light to our path - to show us where we are going, the big picture, His Word is also a lamp unto our feet, to light the very next steps we take! He lights our way in the dark, to prevent us stumbling over obstacles or falling down cliffs, or even just wandering off the path onto things that would lead us into danger or even turn us away from God's path for our lives.
The light unto our path speaks to us not only of God lighting our way so that we can walk safely and see any dangers ahead, but it clearly symbolises the Word of God being our guide.  As we study it and take 'onboard' it's teachings, will clearly see the path, avoiding all of the pits and obstacles, missing those distractions or byways, that can be so cleverly disguised and would lead us astray.  God's Word is a light unto our path - a guide for us to heed.
The concept of a lamp, to me, is something that is close by, even held in the hand to bring light directly onto something close by.  A light is more general and sheds light on everything around us - on His works and all that we do.  It seems that God has all aspects covered - but there are no surprises there!
I pray the Light of the World will continue to shine on us, in us and through us!

PB Sunshine Garden

I am taking a break from Easter cards to day to share a 'sunny' card with you!  I have had this Penny Black image for a long time but have finally managed to fit in some 'colouring therapy' and get a few cards created!

This is such a fun image and just had to be coloured in summer colours - I am surprised at how much I am enjoying yellow - it used to 'skeer' me but I am finding the more I use it, the more I am loving it - funny that! LOL!

The image has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine and the Postage Stamps Nestibilities.  One of the Fancy Tags Three Dies has been cut out and cut in half and added to each end of the image, to create a frame....I am loving this look!

This card is for the follwing challenges:
Bloggers -To "Die" For
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Flowers
Crafty Creations - Spring
Divas by Design - anything goes
Waste Not Wednesday - always "use your forgotten stuff" (Paper and image)
Sparkles Forum Challenges - Mother's Day or Spring
Through the Craftroom Door - Spring is in the Air

The sentiment is from the retired Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, designed by NinaB Designs and the DP is some Stampin' Up! paper from my stash.....a very easy card but I love how the Spellbinders Die Templates and the Penny Black image bring it all together so well!

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! I hope you are all having a blessed Easter weekend, taking the time to celebrate the real reason for Easter!  God bless you!

SSIC LOC Fruitful

Sunday comes around so quickly - the weeks just seem to fly by. Sunday brings with it the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - and this week it is hosted by one of the co-founders, the wonderful Kris.
This week Kris has chosen the scripture:

LOC Sneak Peek #2

It is time to share my second Sneak Peek of the Layers of Color New Release.  It has been exciting to see the Sneak Peeks from the other girls on the Design Team - these girls are so inspiring and have a lot more to show you before September 19 - the New Release Party!

I have used the Christmas Verses art stamp set

The sentiment is cut out with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three Shapeabilitie and has been sponged before removing from the Die.

The verse has been cut out with the Labels Seventeen Nestibilitie, again sponging before removal from the Die.  I always use my Grand Calibur for cutting my Nestibilities - it is fabulous, the cutting is crisp and the embossing just pops.

The Embossing Folder is from Stampin' Up and is a favourite - I love how deeply they emboss!  The flower is from Wild Orchid and was part of a prize I won - it is gorgeous and fits perfectly with the colours for this card.
;

You can see all of the dimension with this photo and the Hand Dyed Seam Binding - I love that stuff and get myself into quite a mess when dying it - but oh the results - they are divine!!
