A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I have a simple and whimsical card to share with you, I like to have card that are suitable for any occasion on hand, especially birthdays and also for the shop that sells my cards - so handy if you need a card at short notice.

Who can resist these adorable birds from Katzelkraft.  They have been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Chameleon Pens, fussy cut/hand cut out using scissors.

The card front has been cut using Graphic 45 patterned paper, this has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut  white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares. The birds have also been popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The clouds have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sun and Clouds Etched Dies,  next they have been trimmed to size and glued onto the card front.  The sentiment is from The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bird Crazy  - I love that sentiment!. It has been stamped onto black card stock using Imagine VersaMark ink and White Embossing Powder has been applied and then set using a Heat Tool.  Next it has been trimmed and popped up below the birds using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares in black.

Paw-fectly Normal!?

Hello friends - thanks so much for stopping by today.  It has been a couple of days since I posted, I have been busy with some deadlines that are looming and a publication - but I am excited to share with you when the time is right!!  Today's card has a little bit of humour to it - keeping it light - much needed some days - don't you think?!

My background is created using Imagine Memento Inks in Teal Zeal applied using the Seth Apter Dot Matrix Stamps and randomly splattered using Dandelion ink and splattering of white  paint. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card.

The inked layer has been cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Celebrations Pierced Ovals Etched Dies #6 (#1 being the smallest).  The image has been stamped using Imagine Memento Tuxedo Black Ink  and coloured using Chameleon Pens.  This has been popped up onto the Pierced Oval using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and onto the pre-cut card base and card front.

The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bird Crazy  - I love that sentiment!. It has been stamped using Imagine Memento ink on Tuxedo Black and trimmed with a dove tail on the right hand end; sponged around the edges using Teal Zeal ink and popped across the lower portion of the oval.  A black stud has been added to the left side of the sentiment.  The embellishments are from the Celebrations Enameled Elements Embellishments.

One Day...

Hello friends - today I have a card to share with you that features a sentiment I love - it just had to be the focal point - and yes - it is a Stampers Anonymous sentiment! 

The sentiment has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and cut/embossed using Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle.  The edges of the Hemstitch Rectangle have been sponged around using brown ink. 

The patterned paper on the card front has been embossed using the Embossing Folders Donna Salazar Designs Medallion and sponged using Imagine Delicata ink in Golden Glitz.  The sentiment is offset onto the card base and popped up using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Recycled braid has been adhered below the sentiment using liquid glue and Want2Scrap white pearls added.

Dog-gone!!

Hello friends - today I have a fun card to share with you - a little change of pace, but that is a good thing - isn't it!?  I have had a lot of fun with this card - who can resist this adorable puppy....

I have had a lot of fun with this card - who can resist that adorable puppy....I have stamped him onto white card stock using Imagine Memento in Tuxedo Black and coloured him using Chameleon Pens.

The cactus is from the Spellbinders Cacti Wild & Free by Debi Adams Stamp & Die Set and has been sponged using white ink to add some texture.  The puppy has been popped up next to the Cactus using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The background has been created using Imagine Inks and the white splatters have been added using a white Sharpie pen.

The sentiment has been computer generated and glued to the torn corrugated cardboard across the lower portion of the card - as you can see - this is a very easy card - but one I am sure we all need to send at one time or another - or is that just me!? Wink:wink!

Rain Man

Hello friends - I am sharing a card that has been inspired by a tag I created for one of my Workshops a few years ago.  I used it as the centre feature for this card.  

I have used the Stampers Anonymous Umbrella Man embossing folder and coloured/sponged it using Imagine Crafts Memento Inks.  The sentiment is from a Close to my Heart set.

The embossing folder is the Spellbinders Picnic by Licensed Designer Tammy Tutterow.  I have sponged it using Memento Ink in Teal Zeal.  The tag has been adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Adhesive Runner,  Twine is tied around the card front and a ticket stub popped in, secured with a little glue.

At this point it is a card but I am contemplating taking it further and adding it to a canvas - what do you think?

Purrrrfectly Normal

Hello Friends - I hope the New Year has started well for you - I have just finished 3 deadlines for publication - a total of 18 cards and guess what I am doing to unwind - yes - card making!!  I am 'faux cleaning' again but am finally starting to get some where - plus get cards made for the shop that sells them - I average 30-35 cards a month so it keeps me in my Studio - I know it is a tough job but someone has to do it!

                                  

I have aways loved this cat image and thought it went well with this sentiment.   The image has been trimmed and layered up onto the Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor Card Creator Die.  This has been stamped, splashed and splattered using ink and paint. 

Crochet lace has been added along with Want2Scrap Baby Bling - Pink Rhinestones - Self adhesive along the lace.

A postal mark has been stamped, overlapping into the image - just love that little face! :)  A layered flower from the Spellbinders Cinch and Go Dies by Becca Feeken has been added to the left of the sentiment.

You're How Old

Hello friends, today I am sharing the card I created for my DH's birthday way, back in February - it had to be something different and I think this fits into that category! LOL!

The adorable Owl is the Spellbinders Woodland Owl - I have taken a 'little' creative license with him adding to his look using stamp, feathers and those adorable glasses from Stampers Anonymous - along with the paintbrush and sentiment.  I have also used Out on a Limb for the branch and created the card base using A2 Curved Matting Basics A Card Creator.

I have also used Imagine Crafts irRESISTibles in Electric Blue,  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner, the bling is from Want2Scrap.
