Spellbinders - This House Tutorial

Hello friends - thanks so much for stopping by today,  I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders  using one of the Sew Sweet Collection by Tammy Tutterow.  Such a cute little house and perfect for a little bit of colouring.

'Built On Love Stamp and Die Set Sew Sweet Collection by Tammy Tutterow brings both worlds together of die templates and coordinating stamps to give these images life!' - Spellbinders

1. Cut/emboss two (2) of the largest dies from the Botanical Bliss Label 54 Etched Die using brown card stock.
2. Score one Labels 54 at 1.5cm and fold forward.
3. Adhere the second Labels 54, making sure to line up the sides - this forms the card base.
4. Adhere a strip of patterned paper across the card front - trim the edges.
5. Cut/emboss one Hemstitch Ovals # 3 (#1 being the largest) using cutting edge only.

6. Stamp one house, two Flowers Swags onto white card stock.
7. Cut emboss the stamped images along with one roof uing black card stock.
8. Adhere the roof to the die cut house.

9. Colour the house and both swags using Chameleon Pens.
10. Cut/emboss two hearts, lightly sand the edges.
11. Pop up the hearts onto the Flower Swags.
12. Adhere a strip of blue patterned paper to each side of the middle strip, trimming the edges to the Die shape.  NOTE:  If there is not a lot of the paper you really want to use, cut it in the centre before adhering, this will be covered by the Ucal and no-one will be any the wiser!
13. Pop up the house and Flower Garlands onto the die cut Oval using 3D Foam squares.
14. Pop up the layered oval onto the card front also using 3D Foam Squares.
15. Randomly add 'faux enamel dots' using the Pico Embellisher in Tuxedo Black.
16. Pop up a computer generated sentiment below the house.

Hello Sunflower

Hello friends and Happy Mother's Day to the all of the Mums - in any shape or form.  I hope your day is blessed and you are surrounded by family and friends.  For those who Mother's Day is tough - please know you are being thought of today - by so many!

I have been doing a little bit of colouring - Spellbinders has such a great range of stamps, along with stamps and Dies - I am in Heaven! Wink:wink!  I have stamped the Sunflower Bunch Happy Grams by Tammy Tutterow using  Imagine Memento ink in Tuxedo Black, before colouring using Chameleon Pens, I have sponged the background using various colours and sponge daubers.  Once coloured, I have randomly whitewashed the image - to give it a more 'urban' feel/look.  It has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Art Deco Astoria Labels Etched Dies and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

The patterned paper for the card front has been embossed using the Embossing Folders Tammy Tutterow Designs Picnic.  The embossed card front has been lightly sanded using a sanding block.  The die cut image has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment has been cut twice using the Shapeabilities Hello Geo Heart Wild & Free by Debi Adams Etched Dies.  Adhere the pink sentiment under the image using liquid glue, followed by the yellow sentiment - offsetting a little to give a shadow effect.  The layers are now popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Hello friends, thank so much for stopping by and welcome to my new followers - I hope you are inspired when you visit!  I have been working hard getting ready for the Australian Mixed Media Roadshow which starts in Perth on 13 July, from there we are in Sydney and finishing in Noosa.  As you can imagine it is going to be amazing - I am hoping to post regularly from there and share photos and updates....but until then - today's card...

...I have embossed cardstock using the Spellbinders Horsehair Embossing Folder by Licensed Designer Tammy Tutterow.  The texture on this folder is fabulous and so versatile, I have sponged lightly over it using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Teal Zeal and a Sponge Dauber.

The Altenew Flower was a free set with the Australian Simply Cards #94 - I love this set and am having a lot of fun 'mastering' it.  I have used Imagine Crafts Inks for the rose.  This has been popped up onto a white Fleur de Elegance Die-cut.  White lace has been added, along with a double seam binding bow and recycled button. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card. The beautiful bling is from from Want2Scrap.

Spellbinders Opportunity for Embellishment Tutorial

Hello friends I am sharing a Spellbinders Tutorial today, using Spellbinders Dies of course!  I wanted to take this opportunity to as you - what do you do when something does not go as planned - or am I the only one that happens to? Wink:wink.  I was told that there is no such thing as a mistake - they are opportunities for embellishment and I have found that to be so true as you will see as you follow the tutorial.

I stamped the fabulous image and when I selected the Die I wanted to use the cardstock was not big enough - rather than throw it away, you can follow the tutorial and see how I used it....

Spellbinders Products:
Other: Liquid Glue; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Want2Scrap:  Self Adhesive; Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko: Memento Ink in Rhubard Stalk; Ranger: Walnut Stain; KaiserCraft: Lace; Butterfly image; postmark image; Mulberry Paper Rose; Aqua Brush

1. Stamp image using brown ink, colour the stamped sentiment using an Aqua Brush.
2. Cut/emboss the stamped sentiment using Pierced Rectangles #5 #6 (#1 being the smallest)
3. Randomly stamp postmark around the sentiment using Rhubarb Stalk ink.
4. Layer onto red card cut slightly larger using 3D Foam Squares,

5. Attach crochet lace using liquid glue, ticking the ends of the lace behind the image.
6. Adhere to slightly larger card-base using brown cardstock.
7. Adhere red Baby Bling along the lace and to the top corners of the card as shown.
8. Adhere a layered butterfly to the lower portion of the card, just above the lace.
9. Attach a red paper rose using liquid glue,

See how easy it is  and who would know that the embellishments on the lower portion of the card are covering an error - I hope you think twice before throwing those things that aren't  exact in the bin!

Take care friends - thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
