FTTC186 Christmas Inspiration

I am back for the second week as the September Guest Designer for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, thank you so much to those of you who came and commented on my card - it is so appreciated!!

This weeks challenge is brought to us by Amanda who has challenged us to an inspiration challenge - a Christmas theme with a photo from Pinterest as our Inspiration.  I have chosen this photo:

and was a great inspiration with the Flourishes Poinsettia and Boxwood stamp set - it doesn't get more 'Christmas' than that!

The image is coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits, lots of layering of colour - so much fun I must admit - colouring is very relaxing, almost therapeutic!

The flower has been popped up onto foam tape to give that added dimension that I love, it is then layered onto the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Seven, followed by the Decorative Labels Twenty Seven, each layer having foam tape between it.  My Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur.

Seam Binding, a stocking charm and a remnant of braid finish off the card.

I am excited to the September Guest Designer at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.

This week Broni is our host, and she has asked us to create a  mini card/project (no larger then 4x3)

I have used the Flourishes Sweet Peas set - an all time favourite of mine.  The image is coloured using SU Chalks/ Pastels and cut out using the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities® .  I have sponged around the inside of the Die before removing the image - love this form of masking.  This has been layered into the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles Nestabilities.  My Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Finishing off with Seam Binding Bow, a Mulberry Rose and some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling.

FTTC85 Flying the Flag

I am just making it for this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, it has been so long since I have played and I was determined to make it - phew!!  This weeks challenge is to make a celebration card and what better celebration is there than a birthday!!

I have used the Flag Iris image that I stamped off from my friend Michelle's stamps - thanks Michelle!!  I coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and sponged around the edges with True Thyme, layering onto purple card stock.

The DP has been embossed with the SU Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, sponged around and distressed. The panel with the image has been popped up onto the embossed DP with foam tape.  A panel of lace has been added and a Flourishes sentiment, finishing off with the purple gems either side of the sentiment!

Now for the next xhallenge - to get this posted before the challenge ends...LOL!

Thank you for taking the time to visit today and for your lovely comments - you make my day! God bless you!

FTTC52F My Favourite!

Our last Challenge for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesdays Challenge 1st Anniversary is from the lovely Maki Jones' "favorite stamp set" challenge (FTTC52F) Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!

This was not hard for me to choose - the Sweet pea set is my favourite, of the ones I own.

I have used a page from an old Hymnal, one that was given to me as it was falling apart.  I have distressed the edges (which didn't need much!) and sponged them with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink

The image has been coloured with  SU Chalks, then attached to the sheet music at an angle.  Recycled lace has been added along the lower edge of the image.  I have cut the image and popped it up over the lace.  to finish off a strip of pearls has been added to opposite corners.

How was that - we have made it - 6 challenges in one day - how much fun is that!!  how did you go?  Whether you played along in one or managed all six, make sure you link them to Mr. Linky over at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge Blog! The keyword for this card is FTTC52F.

Make sure you check out what the FTTC Design Team and other players have done - be prepared to be inspired to the breathless at the gorgeous cards that are there - these girls have worked hard to celebrate this great day - and don't we LOVE it all!!

FTTC52E Elegantly Framed!

The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges 1st Birthday Celebrations are going beautifully and we are up to Challenge 5 already - this time I am playing along with Kim to 'Frame It Out.'  Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!

My first instinct was to use Nestibilities, but then I thought I would use this gorgeous stamp.  I have made not one but TWO card with this, to show you how versitile it is.  This first one has been embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, directly onto the DP from Memory Box

I distressed around the edges and then added this gorgeous Prima, that has come from my dear friend Sabrina (aka okimom2girlz) who keeps me supplied with these. my favourite flowers - thanks girl - you know I love you!!  I used an old button that I was given amongst dozens of older buttons - I am thankful there are quite a few of this particular one, as it is perfect for flowers,

Recycled lace has been added across the lower portion of the card, the sentiment has been sponged and attached, with pearls either side of it finishing the card off beautifully (in my opinion)

Here is the second card, which is made in the same way but using White Embossing Powder and Different DP, from the same Memory Box Set.

I added pearls along the lace for a bit of elegance.

So there you have it - what do you think!?  I like them both and they are so quick and easy - the image does all of the work for you!!

Make sure you check out what the FTTC Design Team and other players have done - I have been trying to have a look inbetween posts (which are coming pretty 'fast and furious'  LOL!) and the samples that are happening are amazing - makes me want to keep stamping!!

FTTC52D Seat of Honour

Here we are with the fourth challenge today for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday  Challenge 1st Anniversary.  I am playing along with  Silke's 'think pink' challenge (FTTC52D) Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!

I used my very first Flourishes set 'Three Chairs for You', stamping it first into white CS, which has been cut out with the Oval Nestibilitie, the into pink and white gingham, which I have used to paper piece the chair and for the Scalloped Oval Nestibilitie.  The chair has been cooloured with SU Chalks using a Blender Pen and then Distressed Stickles have been added to the swirls in the timber, for added texture.

The adorable little puppy has also been coloured with Chalks and popped up onto foam dots, sitting on the chair (as dogs do! LOL!)

Corner Dicuts have been added and pearls to the opposite corners, along with the sentiment from this set.  It has been cut into two, to balance the card...

I thought this was so cute with the dog - not sure it would be sitting there thinking about anyone, but it is nice to dream - if it is anything like our two dogs it is thinking about it's next meal! LOL!

Make sure you check out what the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge  Design Team and Guest Designers have done - be prepared to be inspired to the "MAX!'

Thank you for stopping in, I hope you are able to play along with the challenges for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges 1st Anniversary Celebrations,   make sure you link them to Mr. Linky over at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge Blog.   Thanks for your comments, you know by now I love to see when you have been!  God bless you!

FTTC52C Fruit Inspired

Today we are celebrating Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges 1st Anniversary!! I am thrilled to have been asked to play along for the celebrations - thank you ladies!! Today is a HUGE day and The Design Team from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges are going to be bringing you heaps of inspiration.

This sample is for Dee Jackson's "Fruity Birthday" challenge (FTTC52C) Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!  As I didn't have any of the fruit sets, I decided to be inspired by the colours of fruit and have used the Poppy set - thanks again to Michelle (aka happylittlestamper) for letting me use her Flourishes images.

I used the lovely fruit we get here in Australia around Christmas as my inspiration....peaches, nectarines, plums - their colours are all gorgeous and worked well with the Poppy,  I coloured it with SU Chalks and a Blender Pen, cutting the flower and the leaf out and popping them up on foam dots, you can get an idea of the dimension in this photo, along with the sentiment.

I didn't have to do much with the DP as it already had the shimmering flourishes on it, a bit of sponging around the edges was all it needed.  I added some corner Vintage DieCuts, which are part of a RAK, thanks Mum (Lesley aka SuperNan), I love these corners. The sentiment has also been sponged around and layered onto Black CS,

Make sure you check out what the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge Team and other players done - be prepared to be inspired to the "MAX!' There is so much to see today!

Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments, they are so encouraging and I love seeing that you have been - it makes my day! I will see you again soon with my card for Challenge number FOUR...are you loving it!! I am!   Make sure you link your cards to Mr. Linky over at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge BlogGod bless you!!
