Lavender Bells

It feels like forever since I have coloured an image - colouring is so soothing - don't you think!  I found this Penny Black image I was sent my someone about two years ago and thought it was time I coloured it (LOL!)

I have coloured the image using Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits.  It has then been cut out using Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and then popped up onto a Spellbinders Labels Twenty Die.  All does have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The image has been sponged around while still in the Labels Eighteen Die, creating a mask and giving a crisp white frame.

The flower is handmade by my friend Maxine and has been attached to a Seam Binding bow using a jewelled brad.  The bow is layered onto Seam Binding and lace.

Finishing off with some Want2Scrap Pearls.

SSIC LOC Rejoice

This is our last week of the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge for 2011 - the Design Team are going to be spending time with their families over the next two weeks and starting again on Sunday January 8, 2012.
This week Miesje has chosen the wonderful scripture:

"Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men"
Luke 2:14

and has challenged us to make a Christmas card or project that is Christian, image and/or sentiment must have the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

I have used the Layers of Color Christmas Verses, Glad Tidings and Touch of Elegance clear art stamp sets

I have also used the negative of the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two Die as a frame for the Christmas sentiment, and added some paper piercing to the corners.
