MMSC14 Baby Elephant Walk

It is time for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and I have done this one earlier than I usually do.....how could I resist this adorable little elephant from Layers of Color...I just want to 'squeeze' him - but he would probably do that to me! LOL! This image is from the Layers of Color - 'Polka Dot Parade.' The animals in it are gorgeous and will be showing up on my Blog in the near future - I need more hours in the day!! LOL!

Elephants are very special in Australia at the moment, as we have had the arrival of a beautiful baby boy elephant at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, he stole the hearts of the Nation and made the loss more bearable of our beautiful Koala Sam, who was seen world wide as he drank from the Firefighters water bottle and became the symbol of hope after 'Black Saturday' and the Melbourne Bush Fires.

I coloured this image with pearlised chalks, giving a lovely shimmer amongst the shading, The flag has Kindy Glitz added to 'bring it to life!' The gorgeous DP is from a Blog Candy that I received last week from Tracey in New Zealand (yay New Zealand) Tracey had included a pile of 6x6 papers and I am loving them all, I have 2 other cards cut out ready to put together with those papers. I have added some gold highlights to the DP with a Gold Gel Pen, but they are hard to capture on camera.

A length of lace runs behind the layered image, which I must add...the Labels 4 Nestie Die Cut is from a gorgeous package I received from Sabrina (aka okimom2girlz on SCS) You can see it here! Everything in it is perfect for me - what a blessing Sabrina - thank you so much! I have also added a Fiskars Border Punch which has been sponged and layered on black CS, with a Ribbon Tag and ribbon added (also from Sabrina) The final touch was the bling added along the bottom of the card and Nail Bling added to the Nesties - I love the Nail Bling, it is so subtle but adds so much!

Thank you so much for looking and for the comments you have been leaving - you make my day...I love knowing that you have visited!! It has been cold and wet here today....you know what that meant - yes...CARD MAKING!!! LOL!! I hope your day is full of love and laughter!!! God bless you!

EDIT: I have just come across the Whimsey Stamps Challenges which is all about Animal Magic and have linked this card to it - I just love finding new challenges!

His Holy Name - Judge

Yay, I am finally getting caught up with my His Holy Name challenges, this one is for the current study on the Attributes of God - Judge is the topic of this one!

The minute we think of God as a Judge we all think of doom and gloom....I have certainly read many scriptures of the consequences of sin and judgement, but there are also many that tell is that God judges the heart - if our hearts are for Him and right with Him, we have nothing to fear!

I was greatly comforted by this scripture - the Lord is our judge, lawgiver and KING will care for us and SAVE US!! That is good enough for me - I know that there are many times in my life I need saving - mostly from myself!!! I am often the biggest hindrance in my relationship with God..I need to get out of the way and often can't see that - but the Lord will save me!! PHEW!!

There is a lot of symbolism in this card - you know how I love symbolism with these....The chair represents God's Throne, the Crown, the fact that the Lord is King and the Dove is the Holy Spirit! The wings are symbolic of celestial beings and the Bible, of God's Word, which will never pass away, which we are judged by! I have used purple and gold as they represent royalty...our Lord is King!
The chair is from the Flourishes set 'Three Chairs for You' and the crown from Layers of Color set Royal Birds and the wings are also Layers of Color from the Beloved Wings. I have added Kindy Glitz and Gold Gel pen to add shimmer and sparkle to this card, not all over but on the crown and the wings....you can see how much it adds in the close up!

This is also for the Flourishes Birthday Celebration - 2 years old - Fit for Royalty Challenge. I love the Flourishes Challenges!

Thank you for stopping by and for all of your comments - you are so encouraging!! If you have the time to leave a comment, please do - I love to know you have been!! I hope you are having a great day! God bless you!

One of a Kind

I am loving playing with my new stamps from Layers of Color, and am trying to use different ones each time....which I might add is so hard as I get ideas happening for the one set and could make many cards - but there is no rush, I have plenty of time!!

This set is called Under the Sea and I could not resist this shell, which I have embossed in copper Embossing Powder, which was part of a RAK. I have embossed two shells and used dimensionals of the top half to give the impression of the shell opening...I think this worked - what do you think!?! I then added the pearl to the outside of the shell. This sentiment works so well with it, especially as pearls are unique....and so are we!!

This was layered into a sponged Scalloped Oval Nestie (thanks Melinda80 - are you missing them yet!?! LOL!) and then mounted onto card embossed with Divine Swirls Embossing Folder - I wanted to give the impression of movement and waves, but did not want to do them the obvious blue, rather try and keep the effect elegant and more classic - as pearls are! I brought the blue in through the card stock and the gorgeous blue tulle, which was part of a RAK from one of my Twisted Sisters Judy Kell - thank you Judy...I love the effect tulle has and would probably never have 'gone there' if you had not sent it!!

I finished with the shell embellishment....I am enjoying mixing silver, copper and bronze on projects, there was a day I would NEVER have done it, but the further I go on this crafting journey, the more adventurous I become...I am loving the mix of texture, colour, mediums and technique - it is so much fun!!
Thank you for stopping by, I am so encouraged by your visits and the kind words that you have left me. I love to know you have been! Please do not forget the BLOG CANDY that has so kindly been donated by Laura at Layers of Color, it is being drawn this week!! You have to be in it to win it - you may also want to pop over to their site and see what other delights they have!! It is midday Tuesday here and raining - perfect card making weather - I am having the loveliest day catching up on cards that are due and scrapbook pages I have wanted to get done - still a few more to get finished..I am getting there! I hope your day is going as well as mine - God bless you!!

Wings of Peace

I have spent the last 4 days working on the Stampin' Up Stall at the Canberra Craft and Quilt Fair, it was so much fun and very successful...in the process I managed to sell 83 cards!! I did manage to find some Tim Holtz Grungeboard which I am looking forward to using, along with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist...can't wait to use it all! YAHOO!! I have to say I am exhausted, I would love to say that I have a fresh card for you today but I haven't had the time...but I do have some more of the Stamp Camp cards my SU demo, Ann ran. This set 'A Wish for Peace' is a beautiful set and we were given a set each as part of our Workshop - so that was a blessing!

This card was very simple to make but so effective, using the Embossing Resist technique. The depth of colour around the dove can't really be seen, I sponged in Not Quite Navy and Basic Black to give some depth. Then when I came home I added Kindy Glitz to the wings and tail...just to add that Christmas bling, that we all love!

There are still a few more card to show yet....isn't the variety great...I will definitley be making these again later in the year! Thanks for coming by and visiting....if you have the time please leave a comment, I love knowing that you have been here...it makes my day! God bless you!

I Give You My Heart

I have been busy at the Canberra Craft and Quilt fair, three days have been already and only one to go!! With all of that inspiration around me, how could I not want to come home and craft!?! I have been wanting to work with this gorgeous image that I received from Jocelyn (aka JoBear2) a while ago in a RAK! This weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge was the perfect The image was mounted onto the green CS with dimensionals and then onto a scalloped pink Nestie (thank you Melinda80)
The image was coloured with Chalks and a blender pen, than added Kindy Glitz to the wings, for that shimmer we all can't resist!! This also link it with this weeks Creative Inspiration Challenges!!

I have paper pierced the corner squares to add a bit more for the eye to see and I also find that paper piercing can add so much to a card! The flowers were in one of the Blog Candies I have received. I went all around the Craft Fair this morning looking for small white flowers....they had everything but the ones I was wanting...just as well I had these at home - although I did pick up these adorable LITTLE flower brads in a bargain bin - they are perfect for those times you need just that little something to add to the centre of a flower.

Thank you for visiting - it means so much to me when you stop by - please leave a comment if you have the time - it does me the world of good!! You know I like to know when you have been!! I have kept this fairly short and am having an early night, so I am not tired for the last day of the Craft Fair!! God bless you!

The People You Meet!!

It was Day 2 of the Canberra Craft Fair and I am having a ball! The highlight of the day for me was to meet a SCS friend Happylittlestamper, Michelle! We had spoken on the phone a while ago and both mentioned that we would be there...I frantically emailed Michelle last night to try and make a time to meet...but didn't hear from her before I left. Shortly after arriving this morning I heard my name being called and there was Michelle!! I loved meeting her - it is such a great feeling to meet another SCSer!! We have chatted online and on the phone...now we are going to get together, maybe even do a challenge together!! I am loving this!!

I couldn't resist meeting this adorable gal (the one on the left! LOL) Sophie - isn't she just the loveliest...The stall across from us is filled with the most divine bears, but none as adorable as Sophie. Every time I looked up she was looking at me...so I just had to go and give her a cuddle!! There is something about Bears that makes you feel happy - or is that just me?! I was so glad that my DD's weren't there or they would have wanted to take her home for sure!

The Canberra Craft and Quilt Show is held once a year and a big event. I am helping with the Stampin' Up Stall and just love to see peoples reactions when they ask me how I got started...I explain that I was invited to a SU Workshop and I thought 'How boring!!!" Then I add that I saw their catalogue and unbeknown to me...an all consuming addiction had started! LOL!

Well...it is now Day 3 and I was too tired to post this...but am doing it before I head off this morning...even before my morning coffee!! Thank you so much for stopping by and for all of the support and encouragement you are to me!! Have a great day - it is Saturday morning here and going to be a busy one!! God bless you!!

Christmas Shimmer

This card was a favourite at the Stamp Camp I attended with my SU Demo Ann. So many people commented that they would never have used these colours for a Christmas card...aren't they gorgeous! I love this image and look forward to making some cards a bit later in the year with it.

The main image was embossed in black and the sentiment in standard black ink. We sponged around the edges with both blue and black then added Dazzling Diamonds to achieve the sparkle. As Ann had so kindly cut all of the card, the making of the card was relatively quick - but those brads - Oh my giddy aunt - they took forever to get right...but don't look too close!!

I love getting together with others and learning from one another...at these Workshops there is so much to see and do...and lots of Christmas Treats to be had in between cards...YUMBLY!!

Thank you for visiting, I appreciate your comments and knowing you have been...you make my day! I have been at the Craft Fair all day today and there is so much to see, so many stampers in one place - skeery really!! I am sure after 4 days there I will be over inspired...should there be such an animal!! The skeery thing is that I have found a stall where I love everything on it....ahhh - lethal!! LOL! God bless you!

Vintage Christmas

I am finally getting around to posting some of the cards I made at Stamp Camp, our 'Christmas in July' with my SU Demo, and friend, Ann. We had such a great day and make so many cards...in amongst the laughter and Christmas munchies, which Ann had baked at 2am the night before!! I came home with cards 'coming out of my ears!' Well, not literally...but I did feel that it was a day well invested AND we got a set of stamps with it 'A Wish for Peace' which I love and you will see some of the beautiful cards we made with it - and other sets!

This card fits with the Our Creative Corner Challenge being all about purple this week - and this is purple!!! I love this card with the tag in it, it was so quick and easy to make, mind you Ann had cut most of the CS for us...God bless that woman!! This set, Good Cheer, is from our new Mini Catalogue...I can picture it in greens and reds, blues and silvers...so much potential!!

The image is stamped on and a clean blender pen was used to drag some of the colour across the image...very easy and so affective. When I came home I did add a splashing of Kindy Gtilz of it, but that has not shown up at all in the photos - typical! A corner rounded was used on the corners - naturally and ribbon threaded through the slot of the tag - mine is a bit hard to see in this photo - sorry!

Thank you for stopping in and for your comments, you are so encouraging and your comments mean so much to me - you know I love to know when you have visited! I have had a busy day as I am trying to get things done...tomorrow I am off to the Craft and Quilt Fair, here in Canberra, for 4 days. I will be helping Ann on the SU stall and also selling some of my own cards....so busy days....but I can't imagine I won't find the time to do a bit of crafting in the evenings....even if I don't I have cards from the Workshop to show you! God bless you!

Edit - don't foget to check out the Blog Candy that Layers of Color are offering to help celebrate my joining their Design Team. Just click on the link on the sidebar - you just might win - someone has to!!

Roots and Wings

This my first Scrap Book page in my role as a Design Team member for Layers of Color. I have always loved this photo that my DH took of our kids when we were out one day...the page just evolved...

I backed the photo with creme CS, adding two layers of torn and sponged DP underneath it. A length of gorgeous old lace has been layered on that, with a Lollipop flower added. The flower was made in creme CS and sponged with Tim Hotlz Distressing Ink and held together with a gorgeous brad.

My DH took me out shopping for some embellishments specifically suited to my Layers of Color card and pages - isn't that lovely! I am so blessed to have a DH who is supportive and loves to bring me home all sorts of bargains...I love it when he does this as he has great taste and knows what I like to work with - I have not had one time when I thought 'What was he thinking!?'

The crown and wings are from the Regal Wings set, they have been cut out with dimensional added halfway along to give them some 'lift', they have been highlighted with Chalks and then Distressed Stickles (also part of our shopping spree) added, then a light touch of Kindy Glitz for that extra sparkle. Nail Bling has been added to the crown! Just that little bit of colour made a HUGE difference!

The strips for the top and bottom of the page were torn and sponged and images from Architectural Blocks, which had been coloured with chalk, were added. The sentiment was computer generated and sponged around....finished off with those lovely little gold wings....and there you have it...one finished page!

This page qualifies for the following challenges: Dutch Dare #.57 , Darling cardmakers , Creative Inspirations and My Time to Craft...make sure you check them out...they are so full of inspiration.
Thank you for making the time to come and visit
with me, I do appreciate it! Don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been - I would hate to miss you! Laura at Layers of Color has offered a set of stamps as Blog Candy to help celebrate my coming on board as part of their design team - so click on the link to the Candy on my sidebar, leave a comment and be part of it!! You never know - you might win - someone has to!! God bless you!

Heaven Sent

Scrapbooking is a learning curve for me. One of the albums I am going to be having as a member of a Design Team over at Layers of Color is a Scrapbook Album...so I was eager to get some pages done. I have to be honest and say that these pages almost made themselves, the Layers of Color stamp sets were perfect for these pages and made it easy!!
This page was made to compliment the 'Roots and Wings' Page featured above. I have had this photo of my three children sitting to one side since I started Scrapbooking 6 months ago....and am very happy with the way it turned out!
I used 4 sets of Layers of Color images - Nature Walk, Beloved Wings, Architectural Blocks and Gothic Crosses, cutting them out and sponging around the edges. The Flowers and Gothic Cross are popped up on 3D foam dots to add more dimension. I really like the mix of stamped flowers and prima's, it adds texture and creates more interest for the eye. A Dew Drop was added to the cross and heart embellishments to the prima's.
The spiral edge along the back of the photo is recycled from my Watercolour Paper Pad, I saved them as loved the look of them and wanted to age them with sponging. The banner under the photo was created by tearing DP and sponging it and adding a length of recycled crotched lace along the bottom edge. The sentiment is computer generated and has been sponged and layered onto the DP. The Royal Wings have been popped up onto 3D Foam Dots and a cross embellishment added to them. All images have been highlighted with SU Chalks.

The end result is one that I am happy with...it is definitely a growing skill, I can look back and see how I am growing...the pages don't take quite as long as they used to, things comes together with more ease!
This page qualifies for the following challenges: Dutch Dare #.57 , Darling cardmakers , Creative Inspirations and My Time to Craft...make sure you check them out...they are so full of inspiration, and I have just found another challehge it fits...Pile it on (I got a surprise to see my card "Raspberry Delight' got in the top three last week in their challenge!! A first for me!

Thank you for stopping by and for taking the time to comment, it makes my day to see you have called in! Don't forget to enter by BLOG CANDY of you haven't already. Laura at Layers of Color has kindly donated a set of stamps to celebrate my becoming part of their Design Team...so click on the link on my sidebar and make a comment to enter - some one has to win...it could be you! God bless you!

YUCK!!!

Yuck - that about says it for me!! This is my Twisted Sister Challenge for last Friday...it has been the most challenging card I have ever made....I am not sure why. It wasn't a hard challenge, we had to use turquoise, red and black...along with some ribbon and a bird.....Believe it or not I have remade this card 3 times and each time I have not liked it...infact...couldn't stand it...this is SLIGHTLY better than the other 2...but I thought I would upload it anyway, so you can see what has taken me so long.

Don't look for too long - it might hurt your eyes - just do a 'drive by!'LOL! To make matter worse...the photo is shocking, my DH usually adjusts the photos for me, but I don't think he would LOVE to be woken at midnight with a 'photo crisis,' So I will get him to adjust it all tomorrow and I will change it! So there you have it -it might even be in the bin by time you see this! LOL! Thanks Bus Driver for the challenge -hmmmm!!!

Thank you for looking and for your comments...I am not sure if I am game to read them

Edit - Where is the bird - he couldn't stand the card either and flew away!! LOL!

EDIT: It was late last night when I posted this card and I forgot to link this card to the Die Cut Dreams Challenge which is a Fashion Frenzy! Don't forget to check out the Blog Candy kindly given by Laura at Layers of Color to help me celebrate joining their Design Team - leave a comment, the winner could be you! God bless you!

For Our Children

I have been having a lot of fun with my new stamps from Layers of Color - it is like being let loose in a Candy Store...I love trying the different sets together.

This card is for the 2RedBananas Challenge where sentiments were to be the main focus. I had this sentiment left after scrapbooking a page I hope to upload later today and could not resist using it. Dear friends of our family have it on their fridge and it says so much to me as a parent!
I have used the Paisley Embossing Folder and sponged around the edges. The sentiment , which is computer generated (don't you just love this font - Telegraph, from memory!) and layered on True Thyme CS. I then cut around images from Old World Flourish, Beloved Wings and Royal Birds from Layers of Color, sponging them and adding touches of colour with chalks. The top image and the bird have been popped up on dimensionals. For the final touch I lightly added clear Kindy Glitz to give the bird some shimmer. I am amazed how much I use Kindy Glitz, as I have never really been a 'bling' person...but oh how things can change as we evolve!!
I am happy with the way this card turned out, is was reasonably quick to make. Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments - you know I love to know when you have been - it makes my day! Don't forget to enter my BLOG CANDY, you will find a link to it on the top of my sidebar - you have to be IN IT to WIN IT!!

Midnight Madness - Literally!!

This past week has been a whirlwind for me - very exciting, but a whirlwind. Today I feel like I have been chasing my tail...lots of cards started at various stages, but hard to get one finished...but I have got the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge finished...This is one of my favourite challenges (okay, they are all favourites) and I would have been so disappointed to have missed the deadline!!

I have used a scripture and Nestie that my friend Kathy (aka Wattle) has sent me, I just love that Labels 4 Nestie!!) and combined it with flowers from the lovely Abby's Candy, plus that gorgeous butterfly which came in a RAK from one of my Twisted Sisters, Peggy (aka Marilyn Prestonn) and the Vintage Corner which was also from one of my Twisted Sisters Judy Kell - where would I be without my friends - well, one thing is for sure - this card would be pretty boring! LOL!

I have added a punched border, WHICH IS MINE!! LOL!, Ribbon and bling and sponging complete this soft and feminine card!! I have realised that I have done no stamping on it...but there is still one amazing mess to clean up before the kids get home!!

It is all very exciting for me today...I received a box of stamps from Layers of Colour and I can hardly wait to get them inky....I have actually done a few more things for the Design Team, which have been added to my gallery on their site, so I will be uploading them here a bit later today - all going well! I hope you come back to check them out...or pop over to Layers of Colour - and don't forget to check out my Blog Candy, there is a link on my sidebar!

Thank you for stopping by and for your encouraging comments, especially over my exciting news. I do appreciate your support and love to read your comments, they mean a lot to me!! Hopefully this will not be my only post today...I have a few things waiting to be posted - you had better grab a coffee for your next visit! LOL! God bless you!

Raspberry Delight

I am just loving this set called Flower Child from Layers of Color and am enjoying using it in different ways - don't you just love it when you can use a stamp in more than one style! These colours are YUMBLY (as my DH says) I am 'stretching the boundaries' of the Stampin'B. Challenge where we are to make a baby card but not use the traditional pink or blue - this is not pink, technically it is raspberry....so I am in 'by the skin of my teeth' (isn't that a horrid saying!)
It is also for the Creative Inspirations Challenge where the pearls qualify as 'Bling'...I love to try and get a card to qualify for a few challenges and this one is no exception - My Time to Craft is all about a Floral Frenzy ...and these glorgeous flowers are layered onto pink flowers...so that makes 6 flowers in all...not to mention the ones on the DP!

This card is definitely a combined effort when it comes to product...the gorgeous paper is from A blog Candy I won from Abby's Candy, the those gorgeous flowers are from another Blog Candy from Sharon, the Nestie is run off from my friend Melinda (aka melinda80) and the vintage corner is from Jocelyn (aka Jobear2) I salvaged the crotcheted lace from an old doily...one eclectic card in many ways! The image is coloured with both chalks and water colour pens...I needed to get the right tones in the leaves and just couldn't quite get there with chalks - I quite like the combo! The layered Nestie and cut out baby are popped up on dimensionals to give more depth.

Thank you for stopping by - I would love you to leave a comment if you have time - I love to know when you have been!! It is Friday evening here and I am looking forward to a quiet weekend...nest week is buy as there is the Craft Fair and I am helping on a stall for the 4 days...so 'chilling out' is the go!! Have a great weekend, whatever you do! God bless you!
Edit: I have just found another challenge to link this card to -No Time to stamp which is all abotu LOVELY LACE....I am loving the sound of this!!
and the Pile it On Challenge where watercolouring on your card is required, plus at least one other challenge - so this quallifies - YAY!!!

Hop on over to my PAD!

Yay, I have managed to make it to Mothermark's Tea Party Tuesday (ignore the fact that it is Friday there! LOL) Along the way I called into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge (oops late too - sigh!) where we had to use 3 ribbons, 2 flowers and one charm....I was thrilled to receive, amongst many others, this image of a frog, and the darling charm, from Pauline in the BLOG CANDY that I won....it is perfect for Mothermark's Tea Party which is all about frogs this week - you can check it out here:

But really Dar-r-r-lings - I see that there have been some rulz set up for this one - RULZ!?!? What are they, I heard (on the quiet,) they are made to be broken!! LOL! I will do my best to abide by them...but you may have to 'turn a blind eye every now and then - especially when I have noticed that most of my 'Twisted Sisters' have been coming along - T-R-O-U-B-L-E is ever there was! LOL!

Dar-r-r-lings I was mortified, I repeat mortified, to hear about sumos, lifeguards and being 'schnockered'....and one Tea Potter to a lily Pad - I have brought a Lily Pad that will fit HEAPS of people on...dar-r-r-lings if we are going to 'Party' then let's do it in style -'Hop on Over to My Pad'....there is room for you. I have even brought along some munchies...yes those ant brads are edible...delicious for a frog! Bearing in mind that this event takes place in a pond I chalked this frog and then touched him up with Water Colour pens...that way he would stay respectable for the whole event (this is our equivalent of Waterproof mascara!)

Did I hear Cindy mention paramedics....owwww....just quietly dar-r-r-lings...I don't mind a man in uniform...I may have to give someone a bit of 'gentle persuasion' into the pond before the night is out....look out gals...coz I is ready to party!!! On a personal note, I am delighted that we have left France...otherwise all of the frogs could be legless - skeery thought!!

Well enough chatter from me...I am off to mingle and hopefully I will catch up with you there...
Thank you for visiting, I love it when you stop by and love reading your comments - you know I LOVE to know when you have been!! It is Friday afternoon here and so sunny...windy too...but lovely and sunny! God bless you!

Fleur Heart

I could not resist another card made with the lovely stamps at Layers of Color which you can find here. I have just loved creating with them...in some ways they just came together with out too much effort from me! In saying that, there was a fair bit of colouring, I just love doing that - it takes me back to my childhood. I remember winning a colouring in competition at school when I was ten years old!

I have chalked all images and lightly added Kindy Glitz to some areas....you might find this hard to believe but I am not really a BLING person, well I wasn't before I started card making. I do recognise though, that some cards are better for it, others scream for it and some...well...keep Bling away!!

The heart and cross have both been cut out and raised up on dimensionals, I have taken a close up so that you can see the overall effect, it can be hard to see in a front on photo!

The flowers are just gorgeous - PRIMAS....how adorable are they!!? I cut the leaves out from the Fleur Heart set and coloured them with chalks, adding half pears to the centre.

These are not colours I use much, but the overall effect on this card is well worth it...I really like it and will probably use them again!

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time! Don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been!! God bless you!

An Eternal God

What a great feeling to be NEARLY caught up with my His Holy Name Challenges...this attribute is ETERNAL...quite a concept for us to think on in this disposable age....things aren't made to last never mind be eternal! It is comforting to me to know that God is not a 'passing phase' or a trend, but He is Eternal , always was and always will be!

I have the cross at the centre of this image, as it is so crucial to our faith and the red heart in the middle is symbolic of the blood that was shed for us...and the power that is in the blood of Jesus! I have used this fabulous set called Gothic Crosses from Layers of Color, along with Nature Walk - how could I resist them. If you haven't been there before make sure you pop over and have a look! The flowers are symbolic of life, both the life of God and the life in God, His beauty is all around us, always has been, when our eyes are truly opened we then see our Creator at work!

I sponged the edges of the image and the scripture, chalked all images, cutting out the Cross, flowers and leaves and popping them up on dimensionals. I then added nail bling, which I just love using....it is amazing how such small gems can do so much for a card or page!! Also, the DP had been embossed through the Cuttlebug for extra dimension! I have added a close up so you can see all of the dimension that is going on with the card - it can be hard to see front on!

I love this scripture....The King Eternal...incorruptible...the only wise God, what powerful statements, what amazing attributes....thank God that He is incorruptible....when we as people can so easily be corrupted...so I have to agree with Timothy and say 'To Him be Honour and Glory forever ....the challenge for me is not just to say it BUT to live it!!!

Thank you for stopping by, it is always such a 'buzz' for me to see that you have been and read your comments - you make my day!! God bless you!
