Flower Child

It is Saturday morning here in Australia and looks like a beautiful Autumn day - I could not resist sharing this card with you - it has a garden feel to it.

I made this card quite a while ago, it makes me think of spring/ or summer and seemed a perfect choice to share today.

The image is a free digital one and the frame is the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle Nestabilities - love the elegance of this frame, it works with any style.  I have created my own Designer Paper by stamping a flower from the retired Layers of Color Merci Bouquet art stamp set onto some lightly patterned paper and colouring it with Chalks - I love the pretty shabby feel it gives.

The flower is one I from my stash - off an artificial stem, gathered along the way...and the leaves from the Spellbinders Foliage Shapeabilities.

Some recycled lace and those gorgeous pearls from Want2Scrap - a must for me!

This card is for the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas - Make it Girlie
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything with Flowers
Fun with Shapes & More - must include die cut/punch
Fussy and Fancy - Punches / Dies
Stamp Man - Shabby Chic / Distressed

SSIC Clear to See

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us by one of the Co-founders and lovely lady - Kristine Breach.  Kris has chosen the scripture:

"...Christ in you, the hope of glory" Colossians 1:27b

Kris has challenged us to use something transparent like vellum, acetate, transparency sheets etc.

My main image is from our very generous sponsor Serendipity Stamps and has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils - what a gorgeous image.  It has been cut out and mounted with foam tape onto a Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five Nestibilities and embossed using the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder, all cutting and embossing has been done with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

I have used Vellum and embossed a sentiment from the retired Layers of Color Sent With Love clear art stamp set - the sentiment seemed to be the perfect one for this gorgeous image - it reminds me of my Mum's veranda and there are many times I would love to be sitting there with her - instead I sit here - missing her - you never grow too old to need your Mum! LOL!

I must add here I am sorry for the quality of my photos, my week has been unbelievable and I realised at midnight last night I did not have my card photographed and had to do it in the bathroom with the heat lights on - I am hoping to rephotograph and update them as they do not do this wonderful image justice....but I did not want to miss this weeks challenge!! :)

This card is for the following challenges:
Just Us Girls - Technique Challenge - Sponging a Layer (my embossed layer has been sponged)
Sugar Creek HollowDie Cuts or Punches (Spellbinders Labels 25)

Butterfly Kisses

I am back with another quick and easy card to share with you, using Webster's Pages and a negative Die from Spellbinders Paper Arts.

The patterned paper with the circle cut out is a negative Die from the Splendid Circles Die that has been embossed using the Spellbinders M-bossabilities - Garden Delight, I have used the B plate.  I love it that the M-bossabilities are double sided - so much variety!!

The bling around the circle is from Want2Scrap - I am addicted to the bling they have - it adds so much to a card and so easily!  The sentiment is from the Butterfly Kisses set designed by NinaB Designs for The Craft's Meow.

The Border is from the Spellbinders Ironworks Accents Die and the sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Grommets Tags.  All dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

Lots of dimension and texture without the extra thickness for posting - easy!
