SSIC Cracked Roses

It is time for this weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge, this week our hostess is Helen, who has chosen the following scripture:

"He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds" (NIV) Psalm 147:3

Helen has challenged us to use something "broken and put back together" on your card.

For my card I have used an image from the JustRite® Papercraft  Shabby Chic Labels Four stamp set, I have cut it out using the Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities and the Grand Calibur® Machine.  The image is coated with Dimensional Magic and once dry, placed in the freezer for ten minutes, then carefully cracked and rubbed over using Vintage Photo Distressing Ink to make the image look aged and vintage.

Recycled lace, Seam Binding, a Mulberry Rose and Want2Scrap bling.

Birthday Pinwheel

It is quick and easy to make birthday card using Spellbinders Paper Arts Dies and JustRite® Papercraft Large Fancy Sentiments stamp set.

The oval has been cut out using the Spellbinders Classic Ovals Nestabilities, using the Grand Calibur to cut through patterned paper and white card together.

A white oval has been cut, also using the Classic Ovals Nestabilities and popped up onto  and a recycled Pinwheel attached using SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ Thin Foam Dots.

Giving the pinwheel great dimension.  A strip of white card embossed using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur and Garden Wire, left over from one of my Spellbinders Tutorials has been added along the lower edge.

Housework Makes You Ugly Darling....

Don't you just love this sentiment - it never fails to make me smile and is all the excuse I need some days! LOL!

I could not resist combining it with the Spellbinders Spiders Web Shapeabilities....these Dies are cut using the  Grand Calibur® Machine

The spider is fabulous and coloured so well with the Elmer Painters - I love these Opaque Markers and will be using them again for sure.

What can I say about this gal - except 'I know how she feels some days' LOL!  I hope her coffee is strong - and don't you love those shoes!! Divine!

The sentiment is hand written!  Would it surprise you to know that this card is one of my best selling humorous cards - I guess we can all relate at some level!

CFC10 Sentimental

It is my turn to host the Crafty Friends Challenge and I have chosen something simple, I know everyone is getting busier as we head towards Christmas - does that thought 'skeer' you? LOL!

My challenge today is to use a sentiment as a focal point on your card - how easy is that!

My patterned Paper is flocked wallpaper and the sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 stamp set

Cutting it out using the Spellbinders Standard Circles SM Nestabilities and layering it onto the gorgeous Vintage Lace Motif Shapeabilities®, that has been embossed into card stock rather than cut - if you are wanting to see how you can check out my tutorial here.  Die cutting and embossing has been done using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur

Finishing off with some ribbon, a recycled vintage button and some of the fabulous Want2Scrap bling.

This card is for the following challenges:
