CP110 Damask Blues

I thought it was time to get out a stamp set I have been wanting to use for some time - this gorgeous Grand Damask set designed by my dear friend, the amazing Nina Brackett for Gina K Designs.

Isn't it perfectly named!  I love the grandeur of it and could not resist playing along with the Card Patterns Challenge this week.

I have layered my image into the Lacy Circles Nestbilitie that has been cut out with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur - I don't know what I did before I owned one of these amazing DieCutting Machines - it is so easy and the lines so crisp!

I have stamped using a Stampin' Up Kaleidacolor Ink Pad in blues - I love the effect and will be playing with it more often

The flowers have been coloured using the ink from My Tim Holtz Distressing Ink - Scattered Straw - I love the way you can make flowers to natch your DP - nice and easy!!  I have finished off with some vintage lace and a row of ricrac as a contrast

This card is also for the following Challenges:
Card Cupids - Use 2 Colors Only
Mami Doodles - Use a Punch or a DieCut

Thank you for stopping my today - it is always great to have visitors - I do appreciate the lovely comments you leave me - they are so encouraging and always make my day!  God bless you!

MMSC95 Pretty Pansies/ Baby Bunny

This weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge is my last one for a while with two cards - are you shocked!?!? LOL!   I am not still in the Design Team and Priscilla's Design Team but this Thursday I am going to be having eye surgery for Diabetic Cataracts and my recovery time is not certain - just quietly, I would love to be back here online on Friday - LOL but we both know that is not going to happen!!  LOL!

My posts for the next two weeks will be prescheduled and will only have the basic details - but they will have a card and the sketch!! LOL  But enough about that and onto this weeks challenge!!

I have used an image from this weeks sponsor Deedees Digi's  I love pansies and thoroughly enjoyed creating with these.  I  have also used some of the gorgeous Vintage Sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang on my doily.  This stuff is fabulous - don't let the colour in the bottle fool you - the gorgeous vintage tones in this spray were an added delight for me - especially as I love anything vintage!!  I have actually found these have a lot more shimmer than some of the other products on the market - so are well worth checking out!

My card for the "priscillastyles" Design Team is created using one of Priscilla's new images - how adorable is this little Bunny.  Although my first instinct is to create an Easter card - I quickly decided to make a card that was either for a New Baby or a one year old -  what do you think!??!

Keeping the colours soft and pastel makes it work either way!

The Spellbinders Lacy Circles have been cut and embossed with my Grand Calibur - I love giving this thing a workout - it is so easy and gives such crisp lines!!

These cards are for the following challenges:
Aly's Snday Challenge - Anything Goes - both cards
Cheerful Stamp Pad - Spring - card 1
Creative Inspirations Paint - Animals - card 2
GingerLorft - Use Flowers - both cards
One Stitch at a Time - Glitter and Gems - card 1
Sparkles Forum - Mothers Day - card 1
2 Sisters - Projects for or About Babies - card 2
Little Claires - Flowers - both cards
Secret Crafter = Flowers for Mom - card 1
Totally Gorjuss - Pearls and Lace - card 1

LOC Winged Wishes

I have enjoyed relaxing and creating this card with some of my Layers of Color images.

I was inspired by two of the challenges over the the new site The Outlawz - the Monday Birthday Card Challenge - with the colours pink, brown and green ( can you see the hint of green with the leaves) and the Colour Challenge - pink and brown (just ignore the hint of green! LOL!)

I have layered the gorgeous butterfly from the Flutterescent art stamp set and added some SU Diamond Dazzle for some shimmer.

The sentiment is from the New Release Happy Wishes art stamp set - how do you like the fonts - divine aren't they - you have to love theses new sets by Layer's of Color's new illustrator Nina Brackett.

The flower is handmade using SU Circle Punches - the original flower is made using the Scalloped Circle, but I wanted something smaller - I am more than happy with the result.

This card is also for the following challenges:

Tip Top Tuesday - All Sentimental
Gingerloft - Celebartions

LOC Christmas Blessings

Today is a very heartfelt post - together with my Design Team sisters at Layers of Color, I am wishing you a very happy Christmas!!  This card has been made for each of you, thanking you for your support and encouragement over the year.

The Layers of Color Flower Child art stamp set was my obvious choice for this Christmas Card - I was wanting to focus on the 'Christ Child''  as it is HIM we celebrate each CHRISTmas

It is so easy to get caught up with the festivities, and we all LOVE everything about Christmas, if you are anything like me, you love the count down and touching the presents under the Christmas Tree,{ although I would not really like to guess what is in them - I just love to try and guess) marvelling at the beauty of the Christmas lights and excited at the thought of giving your heartfelt gifts.

I am also so aware of the ultimate Christmas gift that has been given - born in a Manger, dwelling among us and dying that we might live - my heart and my mind cannot comprehend  such love, but my spirit rejoices - yes a baby was born in the Manger that day....he grew as a man of stature and became our King...

As we celebrate Christmas - we take the time to say

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

I would like to thank you all for your love and support - you have made blogging and amazing experience for me and I am so grateful!  I pray that your Christmas will be a blessed one, filled with love and laughter, health and happiness, friends and family!  I also encourage you to make an opportunity amongst all of the festivities and 'buzz' and be grateful for the ultimate gift - thanking the Giver of the Gift!

This card is for the following Challenges:
Order of the Opus Gleui - Show us What You've Done
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Happy, happy Christmas dear friends!

Make sure you check out the  Design Team Blogs and prepared to be inspired and blessed  by their Christmas cards - they are in appreciation of YOU!

SSIC LOC A Touch of Red

Sunday comes around so quickly and with it comes the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - this weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Rebekka who has chosen the verse:

'Come now and let us reason together," Says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.'
  Isaiah 1:18

Rebekkah has brought us a Color Challenge this week - "White with a splash of Red"  This is so not my comfort zone but I had fun doing it and am happy with the outcome!

This is very different for me  - I am still desperately trying to get not only my desk clear but work through those bits and pieces that gather in 'places' - you know how it is!!  LOL!!  I had the Spellbinders Lacy Circles already cut and added a RubOn that was part of a RAK - I am thinking it is from Stampin' Up.

The background is white card stock embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I have added a strip of pleated gingham DP and added a gorgeous flower from Wild Orchid Flowers
 - these are divine!!

A Vintage Comer has been added - I love the white on white with the added texture!!  This was a very quick card!!

What a wonderful scripture - God reassures us that although we all know what our sins are like, He will make them as white as snow!  For some of us this concept is harder to grasp - we know the state of our hearts and what lies within - how incredible is it to understand that God  takes our sins, discoloured and abhorrent as they are to Him and turns them white as snow - this is the manner of Love He displays to us!!

This scripture contains the essence of the Salvation message - it tells us of the power of the Blood of Jesus, shed for you and me. It is nothing we could do that could buy a drop of the Blood of Jesus that was shed for our salvation and washes our sins as white as snow!!

It is very easy, as we approach Christmas to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, forgetting that He did not remain in the Manger, but fulfilled His destiny - to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, I pray that we will remember that....

WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!!

Thank you to our sponsor this week

The prize is a $15.00 Gift Certificate to the CDS Store!

You can find Rebekka's devotional at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge.....Make sure you check out the Design Teams Blogs - there is so much inspiration on many levels !!
