Floral Pocket Cards

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  Today I have three Pocket Cards to share with you - all variations of a theme - each one being a little different from the other.
'

I have used Authentique Paper that was sitting pre-cut in a box from a Workshop a number of years ago (***head hung in shame***LOL)  I am slowly working my way though bits and pieces and it is a good feeling to see them turned into something special.

The handmade flowers, butterflies and sentiments are Little Birdie Crafts - they have such an amazing assortment of products.

The Scalloped Edge on the Pockets is from Spellbinders.  The tags are decorated luggage tags.  The beautiful Bling is from Want2Scrap.  These are all held together using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L - my all time favourite adhesive.

Prima Pocket Card

Prima Marketing Flowers are known for it's beautiful flowers and products - I can't get enough of them - but I imagine you are the same! LOL!

I have used Prima papers and flowers to create this Triple Pocket Card - those tags give more room to embellish - and I love that!

Each Tag is unique and can be used as gift tags or added to a card, or kept as a set - for me, I would find it hard to break em up - but I am like that!  Can you see the postage stamp I have used on one of the tags - it is adorable, I just had to use it.

I have used Silhouette Spellbinders® Shapeabilities, along with Wrought Iron Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™  on the tags, my Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur® Machine.  the bling is from Want2Scrap.   I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

This card is for the following challenges:

Sneak Peek - Sydney Paper Craft Festival Workshop - Card 2

If you missed my post with my exciting news - you can see it HERE.  I am excited to have been asked to teach a Card Workshop at the Paper Crafts Festival Sydney's Show...

...and am back with a Sneak Peek of the second card we will be creating - lots of layers and all the goodness that comes with it - definitely a 'WOW' factor but not as complicated as it looks!!
We will be taking a fresh approach to creating cards bringing eclectic, shabby and romantic layers using Spellbinders Dies.  Embellishing is added through sponging with inks, stamping and the addition of soft ribbon and bling, not forgetting the addition of subtle shimmer.  Shabby Vintage at its best - creating a unique and timeless work from the heart.
I teaching two cards - you can see the details here:

Both cards are created using -Spellbinders Paper Arts Dies and M-Bossabilities, IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko®, Want2Scrap© bling
Please feel free to email me or leave me a PM on facebook if you are wanting any more details or how to book for my Workshops

SSIC Handmade

This week I am honoured to be the Hostess for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge.

I have chosen a well known scripture from Psalms:

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  Psalms 139:14

My challenge is to create a project with something handmade on it - could be a flower, stitching, patterned paper - show us your creativity!

I have used the Our Daily Bread Designs Butterly Corner Stamp, stamping it in Black StazOn and colouring the image using the Crayon Resist technique using Distressing Inks and daubers.  A second butterfly has been stamped, coloured and popped up on foam tape.  The bling is from Want2Scrap.

The sentiment on the tag is from the Our Daily Bread Designs God's Love stamp set.  You can also see the machine sewing on my tag - I don't usually sew on cards but think I just might have to get the sewing machine out a little bit more often!

I have used the Spellbinders Classic Edges Two Edgeabilities  with the Classic Decorative Inserts One  for my lacy border on both the pocket and the tag.  My Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Who am I?’ I never cease to be amazed by the inward battle that so many people seems to have on an ongoing basis, this is made even more apparent to me living in a household with three teenagers and surrounded by their peers. Social Media is an amazing thing, it is also very eye opening.....

It is very clear in God's Word that our identity, who we really are comes from God - it is He who created us, who formed us in our Mother's womb and knows every fibre of our being - He gives us our true identity! Who we really are is not determined by our parents, sibling or friends, it is not something we earn or can take credit for - our identity comes from God alone.

We are God's masterpiece. We have been knitted and woven together by God. I am made by God and that makes me God's masterpiece; everyone of us is God's masterpiece because we have been made by God.

‘Who am I?’ ‘What makes me, me?’ ‘What makes me special and unique?’ ‘What gives me value and worth?  Not the right group, or how we look, no amount of popularity, or money, designer clothing, grades, physical fitness, sports, job, title, position – none of this gives me value and worth.

The answer: I am God's masterpiece fearfully and wonderfully knit together in my mother's womb, someone Jesus came for and died for.

When we understand this, then we are free to be who we are designed to be - children of the Most High God - a chosen priesthood, unique - God's Masterpiece!!

I am back with a card from 'The Vault'. I had put it aside and forgot all about it, along with a few others - I will be sharing those over the next week while I am working on some projects I am unable to show you at the moment!

I created this Pocket Card using a Stampin' Up set called Armour - I love the nostalgic feel it has, especially when it is combined with the SU Noteably Ornate - another set I love!

So many details, I have created Collages rather than overwhelm you with too many photos, you can click on each one and see the enlarged version.

I have a date for my next Classes at the local Craft Shop - Scrap'n'Stuff and thought it was time to show you!  Each week I am endeavouring to make sure that one of the cards is a different style, to keep it interesting - it is also keeping my on my toes!  LOL!

I have chosen to tackle the 'Dreaded Man Card I am not sure why we find these so hard but so many of us do - so I thought a Pocket card would be perfect!

I have used the Keys Stamp from my stash for the main image and added the sentiment from Layers of Color Happy Wishes art stamp set

The side panel is embossed with the Fleur de Lis Embossing Folder.

You can see the fabulous font on the sentiment from the Layers of Color Happy Wishes art stamp set.

The second card is one I have created before and has been so popular that I had to create it again - not only that, I know that the ladies are going to fall in love with the divine Layers of Color Flutterescent art stamp set - most of you would know that this is a favourite of mine - I just keep gravitating to it when it comes to creating with butterflies!

SSIC LOC Pockets of Roses

-  This post is prescheduled as I am recouperating after eye surgery but did not want to miss out on playing along with the  Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge  This week is hosted by every ones friend, the lovely Grace!

Grace has chosen the following scripture.

"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."  Matt. 6:6

The challenge is to create a card or project that has something hidden from first view. It could be many things... an envelope, a pull out, doors that open to reveal something, anything that you don't see at first glance.

I have created a double pocket card using the Layers of Color Cottage Rose cling art stamp.  For the large tag I have carefully inked the various parts of the rose in the appropriate Distressing Inks.  The rose is centred and stamped and then an Aqua Pen is used to drag some of the colour across the image.  This is such a quick and easy way of colouring.

The SU Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder has been inked with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distressing Ink before running it through the Cuttlebug - this is always a fabulous result....instantly dressing up any project.

I have used portions of the Cottage Rose cling art stamp on the small tags and coloured them in the same way as the large tag.  The image at the top of the small tags is from the Old World Flourish art stamp set.

A small hole punch has been used on the top of each tag and some narrow gingham ribbon threaded through,

The sentiments are SU Rubon's.

This card is for the following Challenges:
