TCM, Simply Delightful

I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a card I created prior to my recent eye surgery, using a stamp set illustrated by Nina Brackett for The Crafts Meow.

The set is called 'Simply Delightful' - and it certainly lives up to its name!  This set is fabulous for masculine cards as well as those girly ones we love to make.

I have embossed the doily and sentiment with Stampin' Up Gold Embossing Powder and sponged around the edges, the other colours on the doily have been added with my Blender Pens, I have not even added any medium as I am naughty and did not clean them the last time I used them - so there was enough colour for this project - that has to be good - right!?!? LOL!

Cutting them out using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and the Standard Circle and Ribbon Tags Trio

I have tucked in some pleated paper, left over from the edges of and old hymnal, underneath the sentiment.  I have been holding onto the gorgeous textured DP for some time, it is from my dear friend Priscilla.  I love the softness of it against the striped, torn Stampin' Up DP.

This card is for the following challenges:
Stamp Something - Pretty Papers
Challenge Up Your Life - Circles
2 Sisters - For a Guy
Creations by Gill M - Use Circle Shapes
Little Claire's - Cards for Men
Paper Creator's Crafts - For the Men
Word Play Weekend Challenge - Blue
Bloggers Challenge - Masculine Card or Project
Fashionista Friday - For Men
Glitter Geeks - Male/ Father's Day
Just Add Ink - Add Colouring
Totally Papercraft - Dies Cuts and Punches
I am loving the images from The Craft's Meow and I have more to show you as I was very busy before my surgery - I will be back with more.

I will be back tonight (for me) with a Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge and would love to see you there!!  Thank you for looking and for your lovely comments - you always make my day.  I do appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment - thank you!  God bless you!

I wanted to take this opportunity to show you this card I have created using a stamp set illustrated by Nina Brackett for The Crafts Meow.

The set is called 'Fly Free' - how gorgeous is it!?!?

I have embossed the birdcage and sentiment with Stampin' Up Gold Embossing Powder

Cutting them out using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and the Labels 17 Nestibilities

I created a vintage flower using a page from and old book and some circle punches, sponging them with distressing ink, scrunching and securing them with a gold button

This set is called Just for You designed by  Claire Brennan of Waltzingmouse Stamps exclusively for The Craft's Meow.

I stamped the image repeatedly across a strip of white card stock and added a pearl to the centre using Walnut Stain Distressing Ink.

The tags have been sitting in a box of sentiments and images I have stamped off well over a year ago (yes I know - terrible! I have to be honest and say that the DP made it easy - I love the bright vibrant colours.  I have added some texture with the Forest Branches Embossing Folder.

I stamped an extra star and used the Fiskar Star Punch, added some Bakers Twine and a button from my stash - I have so many buttons and I am determined to use them more - I love them layered onto something like this.
