Hello and happy Sunday! With Sunday comes many things and one of them is the -
Stampin' Sister in Christ Challenge, which is is brought to us this week by the very lovely
Chris.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:7
Chris has challenged us to
use stamped flowers on your creation...(dp, embossing or paper flowers do not count as a stamped flower)
The image I have used is part of a RAK from my friend
Gunn - I have held onto this for sometime and am glad I did - it is perfect for this week challenge. It has been coloured with SU Chalks and a Blender Pen then cut out, popped up on foam tape and layered into a
Floral Doily Nestibilitie that has been cut out with my
Grand Calibur.
You can see the dimension in this photo. I like to use thinner foam tape to give some dimension but not have it too high/
The sheet music is from an old Hymnal and the crochet lace and bow finish the card off - in my opinion! LOL!
This card is for the following challenges:
Stampin for the Weekend - Spring
Craft Us Crazy - Anything that Reminds You of Nature
Cute Card Thursday - Signs of Spring
Delightful Challenges - Welcome Spring
Paper Play - Shabby Chic/ Vintage
Scrapbook Sisters - Spring

There is not much assurity in this day and age that something will last forever - everything is disposable and only made to last a certain time. the aim of manufacturers is no longer to give us a product that will last a lifetime, but instead to provide a product that will last for a few years and then be replaced with a newer more expensive model.
Sadly, even marriage is not looked at the same - it is no longer a 'til death do us part' commitment but a commitment that people make until it doesn't work for them anymore - is has become disposable and then onto the next one!
God's Word however is not disposable and does not come with an use by date, but it endures forever - it stands the test of time and remains the same - no tarnishing or erosion - no corruption of any kind. God's Word it true and pure and His promises are there for us today, the same as they were there for our ancestors in days gone by. How amazing is this.
I have to wonder if this concept is one that gets harder for people to grasp, with the way society has changed - the understanding of everlasting is not one that is seen or taught - how much more important is it then that we share Gods Word with our children and their children - that they can know and understand that God is a God of His Word !
