SSIC Masterpiece

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us by Jerusha, who has chosen the following scripture for inspiration.

'For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.'  Ephesians 2:10

Jerusha has challenged us to create something that reflects you - you are God's masterpiece!

The  Divine Pattern stamped background is a newly released stamp illustrated by Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny BlackI have cut out this bird from the A Flight of Thread cling set that is also illustrated by Laura and co-ordinates with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities.

Being me, I wanted to use it differently and cut out the bird and used it with a sentiment from the Sent With Love collage image illustrated for Penny Black by NinaB Designs.  I love the earthy tones and the arty feel the images give.  I would describe my signature style as eclectic and vintage, although I am enjoying trying other styles - challenging myself.

Finishing off with some bling from Baby Bling Rhinestones BlueGreen from Want2Scrap, sheer ribbon and a button from Buttons Galore and More

The image is coloured using SU Chalks/Pastels and Tsukineko fantastix, they work beautifully with Chalks.

Lacey Butterfly

I am back with the second stamp in the gorgeous set from Penny Black  illustrated by my dear friend and ever so talented Laura Kirste Campbell - as I said in my previous post, those of you who LOVED Layers of Color and have been missing Laura's artistic flair, will be happy to know she is back and ROCKING the images.

Juts like the Lacey Bird this image, A Flight of Thread, co-ordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities - don't you love that!

I have stamped two images and cut out the butterfly on one, coloured the image and the butterfly with Chalks using the Tsukineko fantastix , they are perfect for colouring.  They are then layered onto the Spellbinders Lacey Circle Nestabilities with foam tape.  The single butterfly is popped up with foam tape as well, to give the wings dimension.

Seam Binding is my ribbon of choice, I love the softness of it and how beautifully it makes bows without the 'bulk'!

A Mulberry Rose has been added.
