Field of Hope

It is a cold Sunday afternoon here - and I am enjoying the warm heater - I have been spending time using up bits and pieces that are gathering on my desk - again! 

I have used the Whimsical Tree Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™, along with the Gold Labels Four Spellbinders® Imperial Gold die template.  The tag is from the Back to Basics Tags Spellbinders® Shapeabilities.  All Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.  The sentiment is from Flourishes.

The ink is IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink - love the gorgeous summer glow they give the sky.  The sponging has been done using a IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™.

Just Because

It was Card Design Class last night, I always try to bring a variety of techniques and styles to the projects I teach the ladies.

 

I have had this Faux Watercolouring technique on my mind for weeks and have finally managed to get it onto card, using a Penny Black®, Inc. stamp.

I have used the Decorative Labels Eight Spellbinders® Decorative Elements Nestabilities® for the card base, the image is stamped directly onto it using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Inks in Bamboo Leaves, Lulu Lavender and Lilac Posies.

The stamped were inked using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™ then the paper was spritzed with water before stamping, giving a watercolour effect.

 

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Large Fancy Sentiment stamp sets and the Pearls from Want2Scrap©.

Tutu Much

I have been meaning to share this card created using the adorable Penny Black®, Inc.

Tutu Sweet stamp set.

The image is coloured using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink Markers and has been cut out by hand - fussy cut as some would say.  The image has then been popped up on foam tape onto the Labels Eighteen Spellbinders® Nestabilities®.

 The embossed layer has been created using the Framed Labels Eighteen Spellbinders® 3D M-Bossabilities™ folders that has been lightly sanded once it has been through the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

The gorgeous bling is from Want2Scrap©.

I started by stamping the Authentique Paper Co. for Hampton Art - Grateful Heart stamp set onto white card.  It has then been cut out using the Labels Twenty-Five - Spellbinders® Nestabilities® and the Kraft card stock cut out using the 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops  - Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator.

Before removing the card from the Dies, I have sponged the inside edge, using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink - Dew drop in Desert Sand and a IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™  using the Die as a Stencil.

Layer the Die Cut sentiment on the 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops using foam tape .  Colour the frame on the image using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® StazOn® Solvent Inks in Blazing Red and a

IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Fantastix™ Multi-Purpose Applicators as shown below.  

Cut white card using Labels Twenty-Nine Nestabilities®.  Colour the corner image from the stamp set using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Markers™, while the stamp is still on the acrylic block.  Stamp on alternating corners - as shown below.

Return the stamped image to the Die and use the Die as a Stencil, sponge the inside using Memento™ Dye Ink - Dew drop in Desert Sand and Sponge Daubers™.  Layer the Die Cut images onto the stamped layer.

Glue three (3) of the Maya Road Vintage Paper Posies onto the lower portion of the layered images'

Wind the Vintage Lace onto the Maya Road Vintage Wood Spools and secure using glue.  Secure using Twine and a button.

The card has been finished off by layering Authentique Paper -  Lovely Collection onto the card base.  Next add a row of lace along the lower portion of the card and adhere the layered Dies onto it. Finish off by adhering the Vintage Wood Spool to the card using a strong glue and add a length of Want2Scrap - Beautiful Bling Borders-Fancy Waves! by Nina Brackett
