Find Joy Everyday

Hello Friends - I hope you are enjoying a relaxing weekend - in the Southern Hemisphere it is Fathers Day - it is a day of mixed feeling for me - we celebrate my DH in every way as Father and great Dad...but Fathers Day is the last time I spoke to my Dad 15 years ago - little did we know he would leave us only a few weeks later.

I have a short post today - my time was limited with all the celebrating today and food - so much food but so lovely to have all of the family around the table - including our 4 month old grandson.

I have used a negative Die from the Asters and Poppies Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™ as the main feature on this card and adhered it to darker cardstock, after rounding the corners.  The base is created using the Romantic Rectangles Nestabilities.  All Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the Embossed cardstock from my stash.  I have also used my favourite adhesives E-Z Adhesive Runner; 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Petal Lu Challenge - Anything Goes
Allsorts - lots of layers
Crafty Friends Challenge - use a sentiment

The Pencil Case - anything goes

  1. What a pretty card Linda. I love that you used the negative space with the flowers.
I do wish I could afford some of those beautiful fancy spellbinders dies. It does make a card more beautiful. TFS!
