LOC SSIC Friendship is Precious

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us by our very sweet sister Patti - Patti has chosen the scripture:
Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. ~Ephesians 4:29 NLT"

.

Patti's challenge is "A Way with Words". Create a card or project that will compliment, encourage, or cheer someone in need of uplifting.

I have used the gorgeous Victorian Frame cling art stamp from Layers of Color - I love how elegant it can be!

Feminine was the way to go here - pink and green being the obvious choice!  The frame is coloured with SU Chalks and a Blender Pen.  The Victorian Frame coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 14 - I love the fact that Layers of Color is now a preferred company with Spellbinders - it makes card making a dream!

This gorgeous flower comes from one of the first Blog Candies I won - and it is one of my last ones - arghhh!  LOL!   My DP is some retired SU DP and a favourite of mine, a strip of lace has been added and some pearls attached for a finishing touch.

Words - they are such a powerful force - as the Word of God says they have the power of life and death.  How often so we use them without thinking - I know I have been guilty of that on many occasions and can identify with the words from James as he  talks about bridling the tongue.  It was hard for me, who was always quick with a response, that could often put people in their place, to bridle my tongue and not open my mouth to do irreparable damage - how do I do this???

Every early on in my Christian life I  prayed the prayer

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Today my goal is to find the good and to encourage, to being hope when there is despair, peace for a troubled heart, to being comfort for those hurting...to bring life with my words!
Thank you to this weeks Sponsor

  6. Beautiful frame and I love the colors you have used. The rose is just perfect. Wonderful sentiment and I know the recipient will feel very special in receiving. I know we can all relate to saying things we should not have. I am just so very thankful that we have the Holy Spirit to correct us so that we can make amends. I can say I have had to say "I'm sorry" more times than I can count. And I know that you are a very special lady who has by far been a blessing many more times than you have offended. What a blessing you are to so many Linda! I hope you are doing better. I'm sure we would all love and email update my friend. Have a blessed day! big hugs, Melisa
