AIR Tutorial #1 April

It is my turn to share another Tutorial as an Artist in Residence for Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko.  Today I am sharing how to create your own background paper using the fabulous Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray, along with the Ink Potion No.9.

Preferred Promotional Partners:

Other: White card, pink card, Heat Tool, Acrylic Block, double sided tape, Want2Scrap bling, black Seam Binding, embellishment for bow

Start by spraying white card with Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray - Angel Pink, wait for it to dry and spray different areas with Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray - Summer Sky.  Either allow to dry naturally or use a Heat Tool.

Repeat the spraying process, this time using the Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray - Lulu Lavendar.  Dry the card carefully using the Heat tool, ready for the next step.

Carefully spray using Ink Lotion No.9, this works beautifully with water based ink, helping the colours blend together.  Once the card is dry you can see the shimmer that the Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray leaves - you can see it ion the photo below - if you look carefully.

Using StazOn - Jet Black, stamp the  Penny Black®, Inc. - sent with love cling stamp onto the sprayed card.  Colour the flowers using Memento Markers - start with Angel Pink followed by Rose Bud using an Aqua Pen.  Keep adding layers of colour until you get the depth of colour you are looking for - remember that the Fireworks! Craft Ink Spray can be a little resistant.

Colour the center of the flowers using the Dandelion Memento Markers, adding layers to get the colour required.  Colour the stem using Pear Tart Memento Marker,  highlighting with Olive Grove.

Using the Spellbinders™ Grand Calibur Cutting Machine cut and emboss the image with the A2 Curved Matting Basics B Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator.

NOTE:  Don't forget to look after your stamps and clean them using StazOn Cleaner.

To finish the card I have layered the image into pink card with the corners rounded and the lower edge cut using the A2 Bracket Borders One  Spellbinders™ Borderabilities® Card Creator.  Attach Black Seam Binding around the lower edge of the white card and attach a double black Seam Binding bow.  Glue the embellishment to the center of the bow.  Adhere to the white card using double sided tape. Finish by adding Want2Scrap - Swirls Finesse Rhinestones.
