Spellbinders Rose Bird TopiaryTutorial

Hello friends - thank you for stopping by! Today I have a tutorial to share for Spellbinders - sharing a card created using one of the Rose Bird Topiary Etched Dies Flower Garden by Sharyn Sowell I have decided to use neutral and soft colours on a black background  and love the way it turned out.


Shapeabilities Rose Bird Topiary Etched Dies Flower Garden by Sharyn Sowell is a set of three dies includes an intricate cut floral frame with a tag die to fit in the frame and the word LOVE to add or stamp your favorite word or phrase- Spellbinders


1.Cut/emboss one Floral Frame from the Rose Bird Topiary using white card stock through the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.
2. Colour using Inks in Rose Bud, Bamboo Leaves and Dandelion, making sure to leave some white areas.  NOTE: If your inking is too bright - you can used white ink or paint and a dauber to soften the colour.
3. Cut/emboss one Tag and Sentiment using white card stock.  Use the tag die as a stencil, sponging inside the cutting edges using pink ink before removing the Die.
4. Glue the sentiment to the inked tag.
5. Pop up the tag using 3D Foam Squares onto the Floral Frame.

6. Cut/emboss the largest frame and insert Hemstitch Rectangles using black patterned paper to create the card front,  secure using repositional tape while die cutting.
7. Add narrow black and white gingham ribbon around the lower portion of the card front.
8..Pop up onto a pink pre-cut card base sing 3D Foam Squares.
9. Glue the Rose Bird Topiary to the centre of the card front and glue a double bow to the left side of the tag.
10. Cut/emboss on butterfly from the Sparrow Stamp and Die Set on white card stock.
11.Colour using pink and yelow inks and a sponge dauber and adhere to the tag using glue.
12. Glue a small dark pink flower to the knot of the ribbon and the body of the butterfly.
13. Randomly glue sequins to the card front.
