SSIC LOC A Touch of Red

Sunday comes around so quickly and with it comes the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - this weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Rebekka who has chosen the verse:

'Come now and let us reason together," Says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.'
  Isaiah 1:18

Rebekkah has brought us a Color Challenge this week - "White with a splash of Red"  This is so not my comfort zone but I had fun doing it and am happy with the outcome!

This is very different for me  - I am still desperately trying to get not only my desk clear but work through those bits and pieces that gather in 'places' - you know how it is!!  LOL!!  I had the Spellbinders Lacy Circles already cut and added a RubOn that was part of a RAK - I am thinking it is from Stampin' Up.

The background is white card stock embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I have added a strip of pleated gingham DP and added a gorgeous flower from Wild Orchid Flowers
 - these are divine!!

A Vintage Comer has been added - I love the white on white with the added texture!!  This was a very quick card!!

What a wonderful scripture - God reassures us that although we all know what our sins are like, He will make them as white as snow!  For some of us this concept is harder to grasp - we know the state of our hearts and what lies within - how incredible is it to understand that God  takes our sins, discoloured and abhorrent as they are to Him and turns them white as snow - this is the manner of Love He displays to us!!

This scripture contains the essence of the Salvation message - it tells us of the power of the Blood of Jesus, shed for you and me. It is nothing we could do that could buy a drop of the Blood of Jesus that was shed for our salvation and washes our sins as white as snow!!

It is very easy, as we approach Christmas to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, forgetting that He did not remain in the Manger, but fulfilled His destiny - to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, I pray that we will remember that....

WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!!
