Raising the Bar Guest Designer

Today I have the privilege of being a Guest Bar Tender for the Raise the Bar Challenge - this is a great source of amusement to those who know me as I do not drink - not that this is about drinking!  LOL!  BUT - I do love to create and have thoroughly enjoyed this weeks challenge where the theme is NAUTICAL using blue, white and stripes.

This appealed to me greatly as we have just come back from an overnight visit to the beach - and it was divine, so how could I NOT reach for the Layers of Colors Under the Sea art stamp set.

The background DP has been embossed with the Divine Swirls Embossing Folder - it created the feeling of movement.

The shells have been stamped with Tsukineko Versafine, I love the fact that it works so well with detailed stamps and I use it with all of my Layers of Color art stamps, they are a fabulous combination.  I have inked around the edges with Distressing Inks and coloured lightly with SU Chalks, adding some 3D Kindy Glitz to give them that added shimmer and texture.   Bakers Twine and a button from my stash are attached using foam tape to hold the button securely.

I have stamped off some of the images from the Under the Sea art stamp set on the inside of the frame I have created using the Spellbinders Labels 18 Nestibilitie - this is one of my favourite of the Dies - but so will the next one I use - they are like that aren't they!
I have cute the labels 18 with my Grand Calibur, adding a larger Die in the Dark Blue card stock as a frame and finishing off with some clear Dew Drops to create a porthole.

Finishing off with the Sea Horse stamped onto textured card stock and popped up onto the Labels 18 Die with foam tape to complete this nautical scene.

This card is for the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Anything Goes
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Glitter and Glitz
