LOC Take Flight

I have managed to finish off a layout I started at one of the Scrapping Nights I go to - I always start a layout there but most times come home and play with it for a little while.

My photos are taken at the airport at the end of a visit from my Mum over 10 years ago - do you recognise these Mum!?  Everyone is smiling here but I can assure you that not long after there were tears everywhere - I am allergic to airports, they make my eyes water.  I am hopeless, I usually cry when people come and ALWAYS when they go - especially family.

The gorgeous DP is from Stampin Up and really set the tone for the whole layout and if you know me at all you will know this layout would not be complete without one of the divine butterflies from the Layers of Color Flutterescent art stamp set and some flowers.

The butterfly has been coloured using SU Chalks and a Blender Pen and then had some of the 3D Kindy Glitz added - so much texture, it is fabulous!

Lace is a must and this strip of fine lace was perfect layered across a trip of pleated DP, a few pearls added to add some yellow (yellow was not at all in 'the plan' when I started this layout, but seemed to arrive all on its own - funny how that happens!)

Tim Holtz Flourish - who can resist...and come more pearls for dimension to bring everything together!!  This was a fun page to make and as layouts seem to do - bought back lovely memories and hopefully captured them for my family.....how fast they grow, they are all teenagers now - sigh!
This layout is for the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Something that Flies
Stamp Insanity - Anything Goes
Artistic Stampers - Must Use Rubber Stamp - Monochromatic + one colour
Creative Craft World - 3 or more Flowers
Flutterby Wednesdays - Must Use Fairy, Butterfly or Angel - Open
