I am having a lot of fun playing with all sorts of products from Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko.
For my first AIR (Artist in Residence) Tutorial for March I have created something very different for me.
I have used the new All Purpose Ink to colour on canvas - it is so easy to get a great look and it is permanent - you have to love that!!
- All Purpose Ink - Lemon Yellow
- All Purpose Ink - Tangerine
- All Purpose Ink - Apple Green
- StazOn - Jet Black
- Fantastix - Brush Tip
Preferred Promotional Partners:
- Penny Black® Inc. - trailing beauty cling stamp
Other: Acrylic Block, Iron, Lace x2, Lace Flowers x2, buttons x4, white cotton for attaching buttons and lace.
I started by using StazOn Jet Back to stamp the newly released Penny Black® Inc
trailing beauty cling stamp onto the Canvas
Using a separate Fantastix - Brush Tip for each colour, start by adding yellow to the flowers. The Fantastix holds a lot of paint and applies to easily- you will not need to be dipping it into the All Purpose Ink too often.
Repeat the process for each colour. It is not recommended to wash the Fantastix, I have added a sticker to the ones I have used and am keeping them specifically for the All Purpose Ink they have been used for.
Once you have finished colouring, wait until the paint is dry and iron with a DRY iron to set the paint. It is that easy!
Now to add those touches that make it our own....I have added lace handles, securing them by hand sewing a button that has been layered onto a lace flower.
My flowers have been cut from a remnant of lace - I sat for some time carefully separating them - well worth it I think! They add a pretty and soft touch under the buttons from my stash.
I hope
you are inspired to 'think outside the square' and try something different - the possibilities are
endless, especially used with other Tsukineko
inks and products.
Thank you for your
comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing
place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day!
God bless you!
