Every Single Day

Hello Blog friends -  I had planned to slip in one last post for 2015 but 2016 is here and....this is my second post you know how it goes!  If you have missed my first post - make sure you check it out HERE - it is for the Seasons Givings Blog Hop 4 and there are GIVEAWAYS on over 100 Blogs!!

I thought the sentiment on this card was perfect for the New Year - imagine if we all applied this each day - I am sure the world would be a happier place for all, not to mention how we would feel.  This is from one of my favourite Penny Black Inc. sets - the sentiments are lovely.

My card base has been cut using the A2 Curved Matting Basics A Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator, along with the patterned paper.

The Penny Black Inc. sentiment has been stamped onto a tag from the 5x7 Mystical Embrace Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator  Sand popped up onto the Fancy Tags Two Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Want2Scrap Nestabling has been added to the Tag, along with one of their gorgeous Mulberry Paper Roses added to the center of a Double Seam Binding bow.  Finishing with recycled lace and white pearls.

Enjoy the Journey - Spellbinders Retreat

Hello Blog Friends - I am excited to share the first of what I hope to be 'many' layouts from the 2014 Spellbinders Retreat - it was the most amazing and life changing time - one of those moments where you realise you are 'living your dream!'   I hope I can capture some of the 'magic' that we all got to experience.

We were treated by a whole day in Sedona by Stacey Caron - not only is she an amazing lady, her love for her designers is second to none - it was wonderful - what an extravaganza for the eyes - such a beautiful place.

We made a few stops along the way and each of those will be the focus of more layouts - hopefully they will not take a year! LOL!  I have used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, along with embellishments from

One of the highlights of the day trip was lunch at the Enchantment Resort Restaurant that was down at the very bottom of Sedona - the views were breathtaking and the food divine - so much to choose from - on the waiters recommendation I had Grits and Shrimp Gumbo - divine!  Much to my surprise some of the Americans there had not tried Grits  can you believe that!?!  A little like polenta but very creamy.

The International Ambassadors and the Design Team are an exceptionally talented group of designers/artists with syles from CAS to Mixed Media and everything in between - so much inspiration in one place is an amazing experience!

The Prickly Pair Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®  is perfect for this layout - those little lizards are the cutest things and have been cut using the   Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.  I have also used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape and E-Z Adhesive Runner.

No journaling on this layout - the paper and the embellishments do that for me - I love it when that happens! Corrugated cardboard has added texture and dimension - a bit rustic - perfect for the feel of the layout.  I have created a stencil using the Grate Effect Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator and texture paste for some dimension,

I hope you have enjoyed the layout - I have to say - the photo does not do it justice at all, but I am sure you get the idea!

This layout is liked to the following challenges:

A Reason to Smile

Hello Blog Friends, I have a fun card to share with you - using an image I picked up at a sale - there are a lot of different adorable cats in this set and I look forward to using them on some cards.  I also picked up the band-aid tin on sale because it was printed upside down - but love it as a prop - and yes - it has band-aids in it with cats on them - awwww!!

The image has been trimmed and popped behind a frame, which is from my stash - if you know who it is by - please let me know and I will add it to my post.  The pink/coral paper is from Graphic 45, the striped paper is by My Minds Eye and the plain paper from Authentique Paper - quite a mix there!  My layers have all been cut/embossed using A2 Curved Matting Basics and the Grand Calibur Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

The embellishments are from DEEP down in my stash - I believe they are from Stampin' Up! and definitely retired - but perfect for this card, especially when they are coated using Imagine Crafts ‘featuring’ Tsukineko irRESISTibles in Shimmer.   Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Adhesive Runner have also been used on this card.

This card is linked to the following Challenges:
