Celebrate the Day

Hello friends - I hope you have had a lovely Easter and not overloaded on the chocolate that flows so freely at this time.  I am always grateful for a new day and Easter brings it home to me so clearly with the message of the Cross.  Today is Tuesday and the Public Holidays have come to an end - I am hoping to spend the rest of the day in The Studio with deadlines looming very close.

My card today has been created using up those leftovers from cards or kits - it gives me great satisfaction to see them come to life in another card.  The 'image' has been cut from embossed card using a Spellbinders Embossing Folder and coloured using  Imagine inks and sponge daubers - I do love this technique when using Embossing Folders - it adds such a lovely new dimension.

This has been layered into the smaller frame from the Spellbinders Romantic Roses etched DiesThe patterned paper has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard, cut to size using a Matting Die.  Each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand.  This has all been adhered to a pre-cut card base using Adhesive Sheets 4 x6 prior to cutting.

For the card base, cut/emboss using the A2 Matting Basics B, making sure to place the fold inside the cutting edge to form card base.  Pop embossed layers onto the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and finish by adding some of the fabulous Want2Scrap White Pearls.

Flourishes lc - Blessings

Hello everyone - I hope you are having a blessed Easter Weekend-it is a double celebration for us - our youngest had her 19th birthday yesterday and it was a blessing to have such a wonderful time with the family - celebrating.  Today we got together for an Easter Egg Hunt with our grandson and to celebrate Easter Sunday and all that it means to us as Christians -the sentiment from the  Flourishes lc set called My Cup Overflows illustrated by Lauren Pope; could not be more perfect - I am so blessed!

The image has been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured using Chameleon Pens.  It has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors popped up;using 3D Foam Squares onto the Spellbinders Nestabilities Heart and Home Circle Delight Etched Dies

The patterned paper has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard, cut to size using a Matting Die.  Each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand.  This has all been adhered to a pre-cut card base using Adhesive Sheets 4 x6 prior to cutting. A row of pink seam binding has been pleated onto the lower portion of the card front, a double seam binding bow has been adhered to the lower left hand side of the Die using liquid glue, finishing off by adding a Want2Scrap pearl to the centre and to the corners of the card front.
