Wonderful Day

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by. Today I have a 'Fancy Fold' card to share with you a 'Pop and Twist' card- so much easier to create than you first think and such a fun fold. I have made an elegant card using Kaisercraft papers and Collectibles.

Cut a card base and score half way; fold the card stock into an A-frame card base. Decorate the card front as desired, it is so much easier to do before the inside is added, adding bulk.

I have used two papers from the Kaisercraft Golden Grove Collection, adhering to the pre-cut white card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra. Add a strip of olive green seam binding around the card front, securing using double sided tape.  Pop up the beautiful Hydrangea onto the centre of the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Glue a double seam binding bow to the right of the Collectible and pop up a sentiment below the Hydrangea.  Finish by trimming and adhering Want2Scrap bling.

Cut card stock for the pop-up mechanism, 8cm x 24cm.  Score down the centre of the card both lengthwise and width (or the long side and the short side)   Fold the right hand side towards the centre to where the score lines meet, check they line up on both sides before burnishing,.  Repeat this with the left hand side - to give an 'x in the centre.  Fold the paper on the score lines to make a tent shape Burnish all folds. This piece becomes the pop-up mechanism for the card.  Place the point of the mechanism centred just below the fold on the card base, Place tape on the top of the mechanism  Close the card to adhere the top panel to the pop-up mechanism.

Cut another piece of  white card stock 8cm x 24cm. Score on the short side at 4cm and burnish. Fold each side towards the centre fold and burnish the folds.  Decorate each panel inside the card by cutting two pieces of  Kaisercraft Golden Grove Collection to 9cm x 9.5cm, adhering onto slightly larger yellow card stock; adhere to the top and bottom panels.

Open the card. The pop-up mechanism will unfold. Place Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra on the top right corner and the bottom left corner back of the "tent" pop-up mechanism and center the accordion fold piece over the pop-up mechanism and attach.

Cut four Kaisercraft Golden Grove Collection to 5.5cm x 8.5cm, emboss using a Kaisercraft Embossing Folder, sponge around the edges using Imagine Memento ink in Bamboo Leaves and attach to each panel of the accordion portion using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra. Decorate the panels using Collectibles.

Tiny Dancer

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  The week is going by so fast - I cannot believe we are in the middle of it already - I am not sure if it is the pace of life or it seems that way as you get older - but lets just go with the pace of life theory shall we!?! LOL!

I have a card created using an eclectic lot of products today, but if you know me you will not be surprised.  The card front has been cut/embossed using leftover pieces of patterned paper and one of my favourite dies - the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the  Platinum Die Cutting Machine .  The card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut Kraft card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The next two layers are from Prima papers and chipboard from my stash, followed by a Double Seam Binding Bow and flowers from Little Birdie Crafts.  The ballerina is from the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Just Dance Etched Dies and the sentiment from Shapeabilities Sentiments Etched Dies from the Joyous Celebrations Collection by Sharyn Sowell using gold card stock, which I buy from a local Thrift/Bargain shop - it is so inexpensive and great quality AND I am supporting a local business - love that!!

Dog-Gone It

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by.  A change of pace today with a card that could not get much easier than this CAS (Clean and Simple) - but who can resist this adorable puppy - a pug puppy at that! I could not resist having a little bit of fun with it and a little play on words.

The card front has been cut/embossed using leftover pieces of patterned paper, with Washi Tape over the join, and one of my favourite dies - the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the  Platinum Die Cutting Machine .  The card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut Kraft card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner - Ultra.

The adorable pug has been recycled from a book - we love pugs in our household, my husband has one, her name is Phoebe - she loves everyone but adores him and this is just what she looks like whenever he leaves the house!  Those big eyes just stare at the door and look longingly at it until he comes home - sometimes she gives in and falls asleep cuddling her much loved Teddy Bear.

Phoebe

I have added some colour to the pug using Chameleon Pens then fussy cut/hand cut using scissors the image and popped it up onto the card front using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The footprints are from an old stamp and have been stamped using Imagine Memento ink in Espresso Truffle and the sentiment has been computer generated - it is as easy as that.

Rosey Hello

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by!  Today I am sharing another card inspired by a set of cards that were designed by the very talented Alicia McNamara - a Boho set - once I got started I could not stop- it has become addictive LOL!  It is another very quick and easy way to create a pretty card.  You can see the first card HERE.

I have also created my own patterned papers using leftover prices of papers - you know those ones that you don't want to part with - I have so many of them...the patterned paper has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Adhesive Sheets 4"x 6", next it has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and embossed using the Spellbinders Dotted Flowers Embossing Folder.

The card front has been paper pierced by hand and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

The die-cut sentiment is also from my stash and has been adhered to a small die-cut hexagon, it has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, onto the smallest frame from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Romantic Rose Etched Dies using white card stock and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine

Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse has been trimmed and adhered either side of the Little Birdie Crafts flower.  Next the layered card front has been popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Anna Griffin Birthday

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by. I have a 'Fancy Fold' card to share with you today using gorgeous papers by Anna Griffin Inc. - they are a favourite and certainly do a lot of the work - don't you think!?

Cut white card stock to 13.5cms by 27.5cm. Turn over and score at 8cms and 10 1/4cms.  Turn around and score the opposite end with the same measurements.  Fold both ends in a valley and Mountain fold to form the card base.  Cut three pieces of  Anna Griffin Inc. Lovely Layers patterned slightly smaller than each larger panel and adhere using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L. Adhere narrow paper lace to each fold.

Stamp the sentiment using Imagine Memento Ink in Danube Blue and trim to size.  Pop up onto the middle of the centre panel using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares. Fussy cut/hand cut using scissors, two butterflies from a recycled card; adhere one above and below the sentiment, applying glue to the body.  Pop up each wing using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.   Adhere a small Little Birdie Crafts flower to the centre of each butterfly.

Cut/emboss two white Spellbinders Nestabilities Open Scallop Edge Circles Etched Dies, popping up into the middle of each side panel.

Adhere a Kaisercraft Doily Collectible the the centre of the circles, followed by a Little Birdie Crafts flower.

Choose Happiness

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by!  Once again I have been having fun in The Studio with Kaisercraft Collectibles.   This time my inspiration has come from a set of cards that were designed by the very talented Alicia McNamara - a Boho set - once I got started I could not stop- it has become addictive LOL!  It is another very quick and easy way to create a pretty card.

You can see Alicia's cards and tutorial HERE - the stripes got me started, especially when it means I can use the front of 6"x6" Pads - they are perfect for this.  The patterned strip is 9cm long and adhered to the centre of cards on the right-hand side. using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner.

A flower from my stash has been glued to the left of the striped panel and some die cut leaves from my stash adhered to the top of the flower. The Kaisercraft wooden sentiment has been glued across the striped panels and a Swirl from Want2Scrap trimmed and added each side of the flower, along with white pearls to each corner.  It is very easy to create a card in this style - thanks so much Alicia for the inspiration - I may or may not have made over 12 cards based on this style - I won't bombard you with them! Wink:wink
