MMSC35 Double Delight!

Wahoo - it is time for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and I have got not one but TWO cards for you....so, sorry about the longer post but I hope you find it worth it!!  My first card is done with this weeks sponsors Sunflowers & Dragonfly's image and how YUMBLY is this cupcake - I had so much fun making it!

I stamped the image 4 times and layered the icing and the flowers popping each one up on dimensionsals, as you can see in the close up!  Then coloured with my 'trusty' chalks and blender pen.  The icing is coloured with pearlised Chalks and has the loveliest shimmer, but you know how it is - you can never capture it!!  The icing layer, the flowers and the lemon slice are all popped up on foam dots - I love the dimension they give - and have to add that with all of the cutting out of those tiny flowers, I may have to change my profile photo - I am now cross eyed! LOL!

The Cupcake has been layered into embossed white CS - I used the 'Divine Swirls' folder as I love the look it gives - yummy, creamy swirly, 'dip your finger into' icing - YUMBLY!!  All edges have been lightly sponged  and layered onto 'plum' coloured CS.  The vintage corners are from a RAK from Lesley (aka SuperNan aka my Mum )- thanks Mum these are great....you sent me the perfect colours....now just send me the DieCut and I will be laughing! LOL!!  Finally chiffon ribbon and silver thread have been used around the base of the image and a sponged flower along with a silver flower brad with a pearl added - these are to compliment the silver pearls used on the corners - how cute are they - do you get those silver 'balls' on cakes - we loved to eat them as kids!!

Before I show you the next card - here is the sketch for this week - you can be thinking about it as you look at my other card - multi taking!!

Our Monthly Sponsor is:

and thanks to this week's sponsor:

Now for something totally different - this card is definitely a vintage one which has been created with this gorgeous vintage image, Sophie's Stroll, by our very own DT sister Jeni of D'Amour Allure.  The image has been embossed in black and lightly coloured with chalks and a blender pen, all edges are sponged and then it is layered into Pomegranate CS.

This in turn, has been popped up on foam dots and layered onto embossed white CS - I have used the Distressed Striped folder and have cut it into 3cm strips, inking and distressing around all edges, layering it onto the Pomegrante CS and used a Cuttlebug Die, which has been cut in half, on each side as a frame.

This gorgeous cameo, which was part of a RAK from my dear friend Pam (aka pam124) has been attached with about three glue dots on top of the gold thread which has been wrapped around the layered image.  It has all been attached to the stunning DP from DCWV - I love the dramatic look of these colours with this image - a bit of contrast happening here!

Are you still with me!?!? LOL!  Thank you for being patient and going through this LONG post with me - I wanted to show you both cards with the same sketch to show how versitile it is...so don't waste any time and pop on over to the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and play along  - it's as easy as 1-2-3!  I would love to come and see what YOU have done!!
