LOC Garden Love and Wild Flower

It is fast approaching time for another Card Design Class at Scrap n Stuff - my local Craft Store.  I am even more inspired as it Scrap n Stuff is now officially the first Store in Australia to carry Layers of Color and it is a privilege for me to be teaching classes with this fabulous product.

I teach two cards per night - and the first one is using the Garden Wall cling art stamp - it is illustrated by the artist and owner of Layers of Color Laura Kirste Campbell and coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels 14 - and what a great look!

I have lightly coloured the image with SU Chalks using a Blender Pen and popped it up onto the Spellbinders Labels 17 with foam tape.  These Die Cuts have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - it is so easy to get a crisp edge and one of the things I hear most is how everyone is so impressed with the depth of the embossing - it was the first thing I noticed!

The corners of the Labels 17 have been stamped with the Layers of Color Merci Bouquet art stamp set - all of the sets care created to be used together - it makes creating such an easy process.

All edges have been inked around using the Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Walnut Stain and the pink DP has been embossed with a                       embossing folder.

The sentiment is from the Layers of Color Sent With Love art stamp set and has been cut out with a SU Circle Punch and popped up onto a larger circle with foam tape.  Nice and easy

The second card has been created using the fun Wild Grass Frame - I have stamped it with Tsukineko Versafine in Spanish Moss (delish colour)

The flower is from the Layers of Color Nature Walk art stamp set, I have cut it out and inked the edges, dragging the colour onto the leaves slightly.

This has been layered onto a large white Kaiser flower that has been sponged around the edges and popped up onto a smaller size Spellbinders Labels 14 Nestibilitie.  One of the things that I love to tell people is that the beauty of Nestbilities is that it is like having 5-6 punches in one and for a lot less cost!

The lower edge of the card stock has been stencilled using the Layers of Color Belle Brocade art stencil and Tsukineko Versafine - such a lovely combination to use.

and finishing with some gorgeous shimmery lace I found at a local Thrift Store along with some pearls.

These cards are for the following Challenges:
Everybody Art Challenge - Pearls - both cards
