Butterfly Wishes

Hello friends, thanks so much for visiting!  Today I have a quick card to share with you using layered Spellbinders Dies and one of my all time favourite butterflies from Penny Black inc.

My card base has been created by cutting/embossing two Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Forty Etched Diesscoring one at 1.5 cm from the top, fold the scored section forward.  Apply double sided tape to the section that is folded forward and attach the second die cut - making sure to line up the patterned edges to form card base.

Cut/emboss one Nestabilities Labels Forty Decorative Elements Etched Dies using Graphic 45  Couture Collection patterned paper, popping up onto the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.   Cut.emboss one Nestabilities Oval Ironwork Etched Dies #2 (#1 being the smallest); adhere to the centre of the card front.

Stamp one butterfly from the Penny Black Inc. Social Butterfly stamp set using Imagine Versafine Ink in Vintage Sepia and coloured using Memento ink in Teal Zeal and has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The sentiment is from Penny Black Incspecial wishes stamp set and has been stamped using Teal Zeal ink, trimmed with a dovetail cut into each end dovetailed and popped up using 3D Foam Squares.   Trim the Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse - LeCreme and adhere along the bottom of the card front.

Sunny Best Wishes

Hello friends, it is Monday evening in the Northern Hemisphere and I have to say it has been a very casual kind of day - thankfully!  I have got a lot of deadlines met - which is always a relief and even managed to babysit our grandson this evening - which is always a pleasure.  I hope Monday has been kind to you!

I have a very simply and east card to share with you today. I came across this embossing folder on one of the Craft Buy Swap and Sell Groups on facebook Ecstasy Crafts 5x7 Dazzling Sunburst and I just had to have it - there is something about it that just makes me smile.

I used Chameleon Art Pens on the folder to add the golden glow - Mellow Yellow to be precise,  The butterfly embellishment is from my stash, the Washi Tape by none other than Donna Salazar and the sentiment computer generated.  I have also added sequins from my stash.

The embossed layer has been popped up onto a precut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and there you have it - I told you it was quick and easy!!

Spreading my Wings and Journaling...

Hello friends, today I am sharing my first Journal page - I was inspired to journal when I created the Mixed Media project using some of the Spellbinders Seth Apter Collection - you can see the post HERE.

I have used the negative die from the Seth Apter Drip Drop as my focal point - this is one of my favourite 'left overs'

I have inked and sponged using browns and oranges, love the warm tones on this page.  The butterfly is by IndigoBlu and has been coloured using Chameleon Art Pens.

The stamped sentiments have been added - my simple form of journaling - but I am working on that - I have never found it easy, even on my scrapbooking - but I am evolving in this and it will happen - not today, but along the way.  If you have any hints - please feel free t leave a comment here!

A few stamped ink splotches and the 'X' from the Drip Drop set has been sponged around the edges and adhered using liquid glue. I just love this journal created using recycled cardboard - I have great plans for it .... hope you join me and help me 'spread my wings' in this journey!!

You can see the Seth Apter Collection HERE new stamps and Dies have been added and they are divine!!
