Sew What's New?

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by - I always love to see that you have been! It is Saturday evening for me here Down Under - today was a little bit fa shock as we have been having fabulous Spring weather - bit not today, it was very cool and windy.  I remind myself  we will be complaining about the heat before we know it!!  Colder weather means time in The Studio, but who am I kidding - so does hot weather LOL!

The patterned paper has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard, cut to size using a Spellbinders Matting Die and lightly sanded.  Each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand.  This has all been adhered to a pre-cut slightly larger Kraft card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesive Sheets 4 x6.   Want2Scrap Turquoise Baby Bling has been added between each pennant.

The Banners have been cut/embossed using the Die D-Lites Amused 1 Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

TheSewing Machine image has been has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black onto white card stock and fussy cut/hand cut out using scissors. then popped up onto a die from the Spellbinders Distressed Edges Etched Die

Glue a scalloped white border below the image, next adhere a narrow strip of patterned paper and adhere it above the scalloped border.  Trim and adhere a strip of  Want2Scrap Beautiful Bling Borders onto the scalloped edge.

Stuck with You

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by. Sometimes we are all in need of a very quick card  and today I have a 5 minute card for you - okay 10 minutes - you have to love that!  Yes it is possible - thanks to my Spellbinders Dies and Little Birdie Crafts Handmade Embellishments

The patterned paper I have used is handmade by the loveliest artist - Carol Cantrell - it really is a 'Work of Art' on it's own.  I did not want to detract from the paper, so kept it very simple.

Cut/emboss the middle set of Spellbinders Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Etched Dies Romancing the Swirl Becca Feeken Using white card stock. The inside of the die cuts have been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky using a Sponge Dauber.  The die cut has been removed and popped up onto the layered card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L  3D Foam Squares.  This is followed by the Little Birdie Crafts Cactus - precoloured and has it's own foam squares - ready to embellish your card - love it!

The sentiment is from the same set as the Cactus and has been popped up below the Hemstitch Circle, finishing with Blue/White Twine being wrapped around the card from and being secured through a button. Finished - there I told you it was quick!!

Little Birdie Crafts - Best Wishes

Hello friends, thanks so much for dropping in.  Creating your own background for a card is right on trend at the moment and so much fun.  There is no limit to the possibilities - giving us unique works of art - you have to love that!

I have stamped my background using the Little Birdie Crafts Llama Birthday stamp set using Imagine Memento ink in Tuxedo Black.  I placed three Cacti stamps on an acrylic block and repeated the stamping evenly over the card front, allowing room for the pots.  The images have been coloured using Chameleon Pens - perfect for creating the different shades on each Cacti and pot.

The card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Next an oval has been cut/embossed from the Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Ovals Etched Dies #6 (#1 being the smallest) using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.   The die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the cutting edge using Imagine Memento Ink in Desert Sand with Bamboo Leaves, lightly added for shading.

A Little Birdie Crafts Handmade 3D Embellishment has been popped up onto the Oval and a sentiment from the same pack below - nice and easy!  I have randomly added faux Enamel Dots using Imagine Pico Embellisher (neon) in Electric Pink to finish.

Loaded with Love

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by - it is Friday evening and you know what that means - the weekend is here- and from the look of the weather, it is going to be a lovely one - it seems that summer has not left us just yet!   I have had time in The Studio lately and have enjoyed playing around with some of the Little Birdie Crafts products and have to say they are a little bit addictive!!

I have cut/embossed the Spellbinders Card Creator Floral Panel Card Etched Dies Flower Garden by Sharyn Sowell using mauve card stock.  I do love the way this die can be used as a background or is a feature in itself.  It has been adhered to a pre-cut card base using liquid glue.

Next I have cut/embossed the Spellbinders Nestabilities Heart & Home Circle Delight Etched Dies #3 (#1 being the smallest) using cream card stock and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. This has been popped up onto the card front using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The butterfly has been recycled, I believe it was originally from TYPO, this has been glued to the edge of the Doily using liquid glue and the wings popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Dodz.

The CHIPBOARD ON YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES has been coloured using Chameleon Pens and coated using Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Electric Purple and adhered to the doily and slightly onto the butterfly using liquid glue.

Three flowers from VALERIE SNOW  have been adhered to the lower portion of the Die cut , the middle flower has been lightly sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon ink in Electric Purple.

Sparkle has been added to the edge of the top wings using Dazzle Cocktail -Sangria along with Silver Sequins.  I love the textured effect on the wings.  I have finished off using  some of the  Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Electric Purple to add faux enamel dots onto the card front.

Nostalgic - A Little Prayer

Hello friends. thanks so much for stopping by.  I have slowly worked my way through a pile of nostalgic images and have thoroughly enjoyed the process - I hope you have too.  I still have many more so I am just taking a little change of pace for a time - after this one of course and will come back to them.

I have used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies for my card base, cutting and embossing two using whote card stock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform   Score one Rectangle at 1cm and fold forward, add strong tape to the folded forward piece and adhere the second Rectangle, making sure to line up the edges - to form the card base.

Cut/emboss patterned paper using Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies #5 (#1 being the smallest) and pop up onto the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Pop up the Crafty Secrets image also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L .

Trim Want2Scrap Beautiful Bling Borders and adhere above and below the nostalgic image.  Baby Bing - Turquoise has been added along the border, to add a pop of colour.  It is as easy as that.  I do have to say - I am loving the  Fancy Edged Rectangles, the scalloped border is perfect for nostalgic cards.

Bless Your Little Heart

Hello friends - thank you so much for stopping by.  It is Easter weekend, Saturday night and I am snatching a moment to share a card I created using a lot of my favourite products - tomorrow will be busy as we celebrate such an important day in History - The Resurrection of Christ - I love the meme I have been seeing a lot on facebook ...'It is not about the Bunny - it is about the Lamb!'  So true!

In saying this - we will be having an Easter Egg Hunt for our Grandson - but that is not our focus! Now on with the card...

I have used  an image from Crafty Secrets - how adorable is it!?  It has been cut out and popped up onto a card front that has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies #7 (#1 being the smallest) and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" PlatformThe card base has been lightly sanded using a Sanding Block and popped up onto a precut cream card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The Banner is from The Little Birdie Handmade Embellishments - and is self adhesive - popped up at the top of the image.

The Burlap Stars are from the same pack - I love the texture of them and the little touch of bling.  The have been adhered onto a strip of Washi Tape that I purchased from a local Thrift Store.  The Strip under the image is from the front of an old journal and was perfect to add rather than lace for this card - in my opinion anyway! Wink:wink!!

Layers, Flowers and Beautiful Wishes

Hello friends, thank you for visiting today!  I have created an elegant card today -perhaps a little shabby using layers of  Spellbinders Dies and beautiful products from Little Birdie Crafts - their range is gorgeous - and the flowers - divine!  I have always loved flowers and all they add to a card.

The card front has been created by cutting and embossing the Shapeabilities Annabelle's Trousseau Layering Frame Medium Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken #4 (#1being the smallest) using white card stock using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform. Pop up onto the pre-cut pink card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Next, cut/emboss patterned paper using Nestabilities Breanna's Corset Label Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken #4 (#1 being the smallest) and pop up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Adhere one cut/embossed Swirls Frame from the Shapeabilities Annabelle's Trousseau Layering Frame Medium Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken to the layered card front also using 3D Foam Squares.  The Crafty Secrets image has been cut/embossed using the Nestabilities Breanna's Corset Label Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken and popped up across the layered Dies, followed by the Swirl Frame that has been cut across the centre and popped up under the image on the card front.

The Little Birdie Crafts Flower is from the Paula Pastel Palette  has been glued onto the top of the layered image using liquid glue, along with a flower from the Mattina Pastel Palette each side of the large flower.

The Little Birdie Crafts Royal Fern Chipboard Embellishment has been trimmed and a stem adhered each side of the flower.  The Chipboard is primed when you purchase it and already has a whitewash look - perfect!   The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets and has been trimmed and adhered under the flowers.

A double white Seam Binding Bow has been adhered to the base of the Die-Cut image using liquid glue and a small button glued to the centre.  This has been finished off using a Want2Scrap Medium White Pearl,
