Layered Flight

Today's card is created using an image designed by the amazingly talented Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

The image is coloured lightly using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

and layered onto Spellbinders Dies - the lower layers are small medallions from the Parisian Motifs, that have been tucked behind a Classic Oval, then a  Floral Ovals added and finishing off with the coordinating Die - Labels Twenty.

It makes is so much quicker and easier using so many Dies on a card when you can cut them all at the one tome using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.
Finishing off with some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling designed by NinaB Designs - this is one of my favourites - no card seems to be complete without it these days! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Forever Friends Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
 Paper Playtime - Anything Goes
Tammy Scrapin Corner - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Lots of Layers

Craft Queen May Guest Designer

I was honoured to be a Guest Designer for the Craft Queen back in May and am long overdue to show you some of the cards I created using their product.  There is a set of four and today I will show you two and be back with close ups of the other two tomorrow!

I have created these cards using some of the divine papers from Echo Park.

For this card I have used a retired set illustrated by NinaB Designs for Layers of Color Art Stamps.  I have also used Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Pendant and the Fleur de Lis Squares Decorative Die Elements Nestabilities.

For this card I have used Spellbinders Lacey Circles Nestibilities and a Negative Die from Fleur de Lis Squares, the smallest size Die.  The crochet flower is handmade from my dear friend Maxine, I love it as the local point.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

I have used ribbons and embellishments on all of the above cards, Nicole has so many divine products available in her store - it is so worth a visit!!

Thises cards are for the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Fashionista Challenge Simply Sumer
House of Gilli - Vibrant Colours/Summer
Lollipop Crafts - Flowers in Bloom

SBH Teisha Layout

I thought it was time I shared a layout with you, I created this one when I was a Guest Designer for The Scrapbooking Haven in February.

I could not resist this photo of the newest member of our tribe - Teisha, that was taken by my DH, who just happens to be a photographer.

The DP is from Echo Park and some of the flowers are Prisma

Chipboard letters - don't you love it when things you have sitting around on your desk come together on a project!

I have cut two of the Tim Holtz Birdcage and created an open door, adhering this over a picture of a bird, from a card....I love the way it looks like she is eyeing up the bird, cause in real life, she would be! LOL!

This layout is for the dollowing challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - Anything but a card
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything made with paper goes
Paper Play - Something old, something new
S J Papercrafts - Flowers plus include red or pink
Scrapbook Sisters - Spring Flowers
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Scrapalicious - anything goes

It is Friday afternoon and very wet here in Canberra...although I am grateful we are not one of those who have been affected by the flooding, so many places have been either evacuated or are on alert!

We did have our own little drama, our paving filled up with water and came right up under the windows.  , it ended up needing a visit from the SES, who were wonderful and helped ease the situation very quickly!

These wonderful guys are great and have helped so many people who stand to lose so much!

they were in and out so quickly...and headed off three houses down the street - a busy day in our little street!

Thank you for visiting today - I always appreciate the time it has taken you to come and leave a comment - I read each one and you know I love to see you! I hope you are having a great day and finding a little 'you' time!' God bless you!

Fairy Whispers

I am back with another Fairy card to share with you today.

using a sticker I was given some time ago.  Stickers are not something I create with very often...

but I love the way they look when cut out with the Spellbinders Labels Eight Die and some sponging with Distress Inks.

The Spellbinders Labels Eight Die has been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur and popped up on foam tape to add some dimension.

Pearls, lace, Mulberry Roses, buttons - all beautifully vintage and help create a nostalgic feel to this whimsical card.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - pretty in lace
Scrapbook Sisters - Spring Flowers
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge - Pink & Girly
Partytime Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Crafty Bloggers Network - Spring Time
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

Fairy Pots

Thank you all for your lovely comments on the Fairy Card yesterday, you can see it HERE.  I thought I would share another one with you today.

I have used another sticker - I am surprised how well a sticker turns out, but then again I have used the Spellbinders Labels Eight and Labels Seventeen Dies and they automatically make a card look good.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur for all cutting.

I have used the Labels Eight Die as a mask, sponging around the inside edges before removing the image, it always gives a lovely soft effect and compliments the Dies so well!

Lace and pearls are a 'must' for me on most cards.

Some beautiful ruffles ribbon from Scrapbooking Haven and some pleated DP  placed along the top, it adds dimension.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - "Shabby Chic
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - Spring
Stamps R Us - Anything Goes
Scrappy Frogs - Die Cuts
The Crazy Challenge -Use a Die or Punch

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Grungy Monday #1

There is a new challenge in town called Grungy Monday  - it is Tim Holtz inspired, so it's got to be good!!  I was inspired to play along when I saw my friend Gunn's gorgeous grunge tag.  The deadline is Sunday 3 at 8pm so I had to quickly create something!

I used some DCWV DP from the Once Upon a Time series, and lightly sponged it with Vintage Photo Distressing Ink.

Added some torn music from an old hymnal, sponging the edges.

Along with an embossed Reindeer from the Layers of Color Reindeer Waltz art stamp set.

have made my own version of Tim Holtz Vintage flower, adding some divine vintage bling, also from Gunn - thanks Gunn!!

The leftover torn hymnal has been pleated and added along the lower edge of the tag, with two rows of paper piercing added.  The sentiment is from some stickers from Echo Park

This project is also for the following challenges:
Marks Finest Papers - Spotlight any Animal on your card/project
Card Makin' Mama's - Embellish It
