Fleur De Lis in Mauve

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping in.  Today's card was inspired by a tag that came with a beautiful gift.  It has been created using a retired Layers of Colors stamp set.

I have created a card base and added a card front that has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Celebrations Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies #5 #6 (#1 being the smallest) and Graphic 45 The Secret Garden Collection. The embossed edges have been lightly sanded using a Sanding Block.  This has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The next layer has also been cut using the Pierced Rectangles #3 #4 (#1 being the smallest) using mauve card stock and popped up onto the centre of the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The next layer has been cut/embossed from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Romantic Rose Etched Dies #2 (#1 being the smallest) and popped up onto the layered card front using  3D Foam Squares.  The tag has also been popped up, at an angle with Want2Scrap 250 Count White Pearls  adhered to the top of the tag, along with a tassel. A recycled butterfly and Mulberry Paper Rose has been glued on to the right of the tag.

Welcome Little One

Hello everyone - it is Sunday here in the Southern Hemisphere and also Father's Day.  We had a lovely family day, with the family all coming together for a roast lamb dinner - no Tom Cruise was not part of it!! Wink:wink!!  I have a very CAS (Clean and Simple) card to share with you today - well clean and simple for me anyway.

The adorable image is from a retired stamps set from Layers of Color - how adorable are these  little chicks - perfect for a baby card - but could be use for so many other occasions. These have
been coloured using Chameleon Markers  - I love the slight graduation of colour - and all with one pen - perfect.

The card base has been cut using the Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies. The patterned layer has been created by embossing white card using Spellbinders Em-bossing Fold'ers Curtain Beads 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided - loving the slightly retro feel of this folder.

As always I have used  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment is also from a retired set (sorry)

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Allsorts - New Beginnings
Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

Stepping Out in Style with Want2Scrap

It has been said that a girl can never have too many shoes - I guess that depends on who the girl is.....

I can not create enough of these gorgeous shoes - especially when they are adorned with Want2Scrap© bling.

The template is designed by my dear friend Laura Kirste and I am so blessed she lets me use it!  I have stamped the shoe using some retired images also designed by Laura, using Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko Inks

I added  Want2Scrap© - Beautiful Bling Strips - Black Wave Rhinestones/Silver around the edges - it just called out to be part of this shoe!

What is more beautiful than bling and roses - not much in my opinion (LOL) add to that a gorgeous Want2Scrap©  - Swirls Finesse - Black Rhinestones
peeking out across the toes

You can see the full details on HERE on the Want2Scrap Blog

You're an Angel

I am sharing a card that was submitted for publication but was not picked up, it is good to have some cards to fall back on while I am busy creating for up and coming projects.

How cute are these darling angels illustrated by Laura Kirste Campbell, sorry ladies but they are now retired - thankfully I have a set as they are on of my favourite images, especially for Christmas.  The image has been coloured and cut out then popped up with foam tape into a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Nestabilities - which has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - the Die is cut out with material and then embossed - I love that!  To find out how to do this you can see my Spellbinders Video Tutorial here.

The wings have been lightly coloured with Chalks/Pastes and had 3D Kindy Glitz added for that extra sparkle.

Mulberry Roses are a 'must'

The sentiment is part of this adorable set, the lace is from my stash.

Faith Art Friday - One of a Kind

It is such an honour to be sharing a Faith Art Friday post again - I am excited that Laura has invited me to be part of this wonderful blessing and has been so close to my heart since I first started on this journey with Laura.

I was inspired by this scripture in the wonderful book of Psalms.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Psalms 139: 14 - 18
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Peter: 2:9
Each one of us is unique, made be the Chief Designer, God Himself - in His image.  I pray that as we continue on this journey of FAITH, we will not conform to the standards and pressures that we are constantly bombarded with in this world, but rather every fibre of our being will be transformed into who He has made us to be, fulfilling our destiny.

Layered Flight

Today's card is created using an image designed by the amazingly talented Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

The image is coloured lightly using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

and layered onto Spellbinders Dies - the lower layers are small medallions from the Parisian Motifs, that have been tucked behind a Classic Oval, then a  Floral Ovals added and finishing off with the coordinating Die - Labels Twenty.

It makes is so much quicker and easier using so many Dies on a card when you can cut them all at the one tome using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.
Finishing off with some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling designed by NinaB Designs - this is one of my favourites - no card seems to be complete without it these days! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Forever Friends Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
 Paper Playtime - Anything Goes
Tammy Scrapin Corner - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Lots of Layers

Vintage Roses

Today I am sharing a card I created some time ago, for Mother's Day (obviously).  I have been busy creating but am unable to show you just yet as they are for some Guest Designers spots I am excited to be doing - one in August and the other September.

I have created my own Designer Paper using the retired Vintage Roses set by Laura Kirste Campbell - I love the romantic 'Shabby' feel of these roses.  I have stamped onto an exsisting piece of pale patterned paper and lightly coloured the images with SU Chalks/Pastels

The addition of Want2Scrap Bling was perfect - who doesn't love roses and pearls - and these pearls are divine - Swirls Finesse - love them!

The sentiment is also a retired Set - Sent with Love by Laura Kirste Campbell.

One easy card as you can see, but fun to make - just ask the ladies from my Card Design Classes - they did a wonderful job!

This card is for the following challenges:
LEJ Designs  - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show... - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy Use Up Your Stash (paper)
Let`s Ink It UpAll Girls
