Spellbinders Grand Happy 50th Birthday Tutorial

Hello friends - welcome and thanks so much for visiting.  Today I am excited to be sharing a card I created using the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace® Collection - Elegant 3D Vignettes ! How beautiful are these Dies - and not as hard as they look to assemble - which is great don't you think!  I have combined three different sets of Dies from the Collection and wanted to show you how versatile they are - as you will see as you follow along.

'Elegant 3D Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken brings her romantic elegance style to the next level in a three–dimensional format. Most of this collection purposively makes a dimensional creation or offers elements to enhance a dimensional piece for a mix or match option' - Spellbinders

1. Cut.emboss five (5) Grand Cabinet 3D Card Etched Dies  pieces using the Grand Cabinet Outline and Inlay together, along with the Inner Cabinet Outline using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.
2. Cut.emboss one (1) Grand Cabinet 3D Card Etched Dies using the Grand Cabinet Outline and pink card stock.
Note: Alternate the layers in pink and white card stock, working from the solid pink back to the front.
3. Carefully trim the tabs off the sides of one of the 'open' Grand Cabinet Frame in white and the pink card back, using scissors or a paper trimmer - these two are for the front and back of the 3D Vignette.

4. Cut/emboss two (2) Grand Cabinet Side Panels using white card stock and both the frame and the insert.  The score lines run vertically.  Fold the scored tabs forward and adhere Strong Tape on each tab - on both Side Panels.
5 Lay the side panel down, tape side up, Lay the first TABLESS frame, which is pink, on the left side of it, butting up the flap right up next to the frame with no overlap. Peel the backing off the tape and line up - once you are sure they are even, adhere to the frame.
6. Line up the tab with the slot on the side panel, pull the tab through, noting there is a small slot at the bottom of each tab, gently pull these down to lock the layer into place- the bottom of each frame needs to be lining up.
7. Working from the back to the front, repeat this process. For the Grand Cabinet front - in the same way as the back, line up the TABLESS frame with panel, adhere the front to the side panel.
8.  For the other side - flip the inserts out of the way - and repeat the process with the other side of the card. Make sure each layer is locked in and straight across the bottom to prevent buckling once the layers are in place.
9. Adhere the front to the card in the same manner as the back, starting with the right side - if everything is in place it will just fall into place perfectly
10. Cut/emboss both the Happy Birthday in gold and Balloon Inserts using white from the Layered Happy Birthday Etched Dies, along with separate balloon in pink patterned paper - these have been adhered over the balloons for contrast.
11.Cut/emboss one number five and one zero using pink card stock with both the outer frame and filigree insert and the backer done using gold card stock and just the outer die.  Glue the two layers together,
12. Adhere the Happy Birthday to the centre of the second layer and the Balloon Insert to the fifth.  Adhere the Filigree Numbers to the front of the card.
13. Adhere flowers to the top of the Grand Cabinet Frame.  Adhere a pink double seam binding bow to the bottom left corner of the card using glue. Adhere a computer generated sentiment across the lower portion of the card front.

Note:  I have been asked, 'where do you write?' I have cut a Grand Cabinet outline without any inserts in white card stock to the card back, trimming of the tabs.

Wedding - Happily Ever After

Hello friends, thanks so much for dropping in.  Today I am sharing a card created using the Spellbinders Baroque Filigree Cut and Emboss Folder and Amazing Paper Grace® Collection - 3D Vignettes - how beautiful are these Dies - I can think of so many occasions it can be used for!

'Baroque Filigree Cut and Emboss Folder is an embossing folder with etched dies embedded inside to cut and emboss in one pass. Everything is done for you! Fits an A2-sized (4.25 x 5.5 in.) card front.
The sandwich to use with the Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting Machine from bottom to top is: Platform Plate, Cut and Emboss Folder with card stock inside and one Cutting Plate.' - Spellbinders

have run the folder through the Platinum6 using silver card stock (that has been waiting to be used for years - sigh!) - to create the card front and used a Corner Rounder on each corner and layered onto gold card stock that has been trimmed to the same size..  Sheer Ribbon has been adhered around the lower portion of the card front and a matching double bow added to the centre of the ribbon.  Next pop up onto slightly larger white pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Cut/emboss two of the Large Flowers using white card stock, sponging each with Imagine Memento Ink in Dandelion.  Using the small Stylus Tip and a foam mat, shape each petal.  Secure the two layers using small brads and adhere to the knot of the bow.

Using lemon card stock, cut/emboss the Bride and Groom Insert and outline,  followed by the Happily Every After Insert and the Outline Design together. Layer the two layers together using trimmed Foam Tape.  Cut/emboss white card stock using the Outline Die only; adhere the yellow layers to it  and adhere to the centre of the card front.  Finish by gluing on handmade Paper Clay Doves.

Happy 75th Birthday

Hello friends - thanks so much for visiting.  I have a special card to share with you today - my Mother-in-Law turned 75 and I wanted her to have a special card - I am pretty sure this one qualifies. I have used one of the Amazing Paper Grace® Collection by Spellbinders called 3D Vignettes - how beautiful are these Dies - and not as hard as they look to assemble - which is great don't you think!

It is easier for you to follow if I type the instructions in steps.

1. Cut.emboss six (6) Shapeabilities Grand Cabinet 3D Card Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken pieces using the Grand Cabinet Outline and Inlay together, along with the Inner Cabinet Outline using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine
2 I have cut/emboss both the Happy Birthday and Balloon Inserts from the Shapeabilities Layered Happy Birthday Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken using purple shimmer card stock
along with separate balloon in Teal.  These have been adhered over the purple balloons for contrast.
3. Carefully trim the tabs off the sides of two of the 'open' Grand Cabinet Frame, using scissors or a paper trimmer - these two are for the front and back of the 3D Vignette.  Adhere the Happy Birthday to the centre of the second layer and the Balloon Insert to the fifth.

4. Cut/emboss two (2) Side Panels using both the frame and the insert.  The score lines run vertically.  Fold the scored tabs forward and adhere Strong Tape on each tab - on both Side Panels.
5 Lay the side panel down, tape side up, Lay the first TABLESS frame on the left side of it, making sure the tab is right up next to the frame with no overlap. Peel the backing off the tap and line up - once you are sure they are even, adhere to the frame.
6. Line up the tab with the slot on the side panel, pull the tab through, noting there is a small slot at the bottom of each tab, gently pull these down to lock the layer into place- the bottom of each frame needs to be lining up.
11. Working from the back to the front, repeat this process. For the Grand Cabinet front - in the same way as the back, line up the TABLESS frame with panel, adhere the front to the side panel.
12.  For the other side - flip the inserts out of the way - and repeat the process with the other side of the card. Make sure each layer is locked in and straight across the bottom to prevent buckling once the layers are in place.
13. Adhere the front to the card in the same manner as the back, starting with the right side - if everything is in place it will just fall into place perfectly

14. Cut/emboss the number seven and number five from the Shapeabilities Filigree Numbers Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken.  Use both the outline and the inset to cut one white filigree layer of each and purple shimmer paper using only the outline die for the backer.  Glue the white filigree layer to the backer and adhere to the front of the card - on either side of the insert.
15. Adhere Little Birdie Flowers to the top of the Grand Cabinet Frame.  Adhere a yellow double seam binding bow to the bottom left corner of the card using glue, adhering one Little Birdie Crafts Khloe Mulberry 16pcs to the centre of the bow.
16. Trim the Swirls Finesse to the desired length and attach each side of the bow.

Note:  Where do you write? I have cut a Grand Cabinet outline without any inserts in white card stock for the back, trimming of the tabs.  We wrote on the back before adhering it to the back of the card.

Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cabinet 3D Card Tutorial

Hello friends - thanks so much for visiting.  To day I am excited to be sharing a card I created using a new Amazing Paper Grace® Collection by Spellbinders called 3D Vignettes - how beautiful are these Dies - and not as hard as they look to assemble - which is great don't you think!

In Becca's own words; '3D Vignettes is a series of theme dies that can be inserted into what is cut with a Grand Base die to create 3D upright cards that fold down flat to go into an envelope – a collapsible tunnel card!  One of our readers said it right, the cards created are ‘collectibles’ that your family would never dare part with.  Well, I hope so!!  You can see it in action in the 1.5 minute video HERE.  Where these Vignettes are unique, is the ability to die cut or not die cut each and every layer for an ethereal see through dimensional creation.  Collection elements were designed to cut out whole or to be cut out inlaid for inclusion in a Grand Base.  The collection centers around three themes – baby, love and birthday. - Becca Feeken - Amazing Paper Grace

1. Cut.emboss four Grand Cabinet pieces using the Grand Cabinet Outline and Inlay together, along with the Inner Cabinet Outline.
2.Remove the Inner Grand Cabinet Inlay and replace it using the Bride and Groom Insert - cut/emboss this layer.
3. Remove the Bridge and Groom Insert and add the Happily Very After Insert - cut/emboss this layer
4. Carefully trim the tabs off the sides of two of the 'open' Grand Cabinet Frame, using scissors or a paper trimmer - these two are for the front and back of the 3D Vignette.

5. Cut/emboss two (2) Side Panels using both the frame and the insert.  The score lines run vertically.
6. Fold the scored tabs forward and adhere Strong Tape on each tab - on both Side Panels.
7. Lay the side panel down, tape side up, Lay the first TABLESS frame on the left side of it, making sure the tab is right up next to the frame with no overlap. Peel the backing off the tap and line up - once you are sure they are even, adhere to the frame.
8. Using lemon card stock, cut/emboss the Bride and Groom Insert and the Outline Design together - adhere to the matching layer.
9.  Using lemon card stock, cut/emboss the Happily Every After Insert and the Outline Design together - adhere to the matching layer.
10. Lining up the tab with the slot on the side panel, pull the tab through, noting there is a small slot at the bottom of each tab, gently pull these down to lock the layer into place- the bottom of each frame needs to be lining up.
11. Working from the back to the front, repeat this process in the following order: Bride and Groom Layer, 2 Cabinet Frame layers and the Happily Ever After layer.
13. For the Grand Cabinet front - in the same way as the back, line up the TABLESS frame with panel, adhere the front to the side panel.
14.  For the other side - flip the inserts out of the way - and repeat the process with the other side of the card. Make sure each layer is locked in and straight across the bottom to prevent buckling one the layers are in place.
15. Adhere the front to the card in the same manner as the back, starting with the right side - if everything is in place it will just fall into place perfectly.

16. Cut/emboss twelve each of the Large Flowers and Small Flowers using white card stock, sponging each set with Dandelion ink before removing from the frame.
17. Using the small Stylus Tip and a foam mat, shape each petal.  Secure the two layers using small brads and adhere to the top of the Grand Cabinet using liquid glue.
18. Glue a handmade embellishment to the centre of the flowers.

18. Adhere a double seam binding bow to the bottom left corner of the card using glue, adhering one Die Cut Flower to the centre of the bow,
