AIR #1 August - Artists Choice

I am back to share my first Artist in Residence Tutorial  for Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko  for August and it is Artists Choice.  Not a hard choice either I might add - with all the gorgeous inks at my finger tips - the bright vibrant colours from the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Inks  that radiate summer are the obvious choice!!

Other:  Want2Scrap© - Silhouette; 72 Count - Black Pearls - Self Adhesive, white card, double sided tape, SRM Stickers sentiment

Start by sponging random areas of the white card using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Rose Bud, followed by IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Dandelion using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Sponge Daubers™

NOTE: Use separate daubers for each colour.

 

Repeat using the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Rose Bud, followed by Morocco.  When the inks are finished being applied spritz using the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Ink Potion No. 9™ Blending Solution to help the inks blend together.

Using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur Cutting Machine and the Diamond Fleur de Lis Spellbinders® M-Bossabilities™ folder, emboss the inked card, preferably while it is still damp from the Ink Potion No. 9™ Blending Solution - the embossing will be deeper - as it helps the paper stretch.

Cut one (1) Rounded Squares #6 Spellbinders® Nestabilities® and adhere to the top portion of the card,  Glue the Want2Scrap© - Silhouette, tucking the stem under the lower portion of the frame and popping the leaves over the frame as shown in the photo below.

 Adhere the sentiment from SRM Stickers on the lower portion of the embossed card and finish off with the Want2Scrap© - 72 Count - Black Pearls - Self Adhesive,

The vibrant Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Inks create such pretty backgrounds and are the 'star' of this card - I hope you are inspired to create your own backgrounds - check out IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® for the variety of products available for you to create with - we are only limited by our imagination!

Big Event

My card today is created using one of the Crafty Secrets images.  It is layered onto the Fleur de Lis Squares  Spellbinders® Decorative Elements Nestabilities® and then onto the Parisian Motifs Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®

The paper is from Authentique Paper - a favourite of mine for sure and the sentiment from JustRite® Papercraft.

The bling peeking out from behind the paper rose is from Want2Scrap©

Give Flight

I have always loved this image and could not resist using it on this card.

 

the wings are from the Penny Black®, Inc. - Social Butterfly stamp set, designed by my dear friend Laura Kirste and is one of my all time favourite butterfly stamp sets.

The Die is Radiant Rectangles Spellbinders® Majestic Elements. The tag has been embossed using the Grate Works Two Spellbinders® Media Mixáge™ Texture Plates using the Spellbinders® Artisan X-plorer™

The sentiment is from JustRite® Papercraft and the bling from Want2Scrap©
