Baby Love

I am happy to be able to play along with this weeks Inspiration Challenge on SCS
. I love this challenge but lately I don't ever seem to get there!  I am also feeling pretty pleased as I managed to recycle a card that has been sitting on my desk forEVA - so rather than just file in away to be lost until who knows when, I decided to made a card, inspired by the colour in this scene.
I love the soft mix of blues and browns they work for any occassions.

What really made me happy was the corners on this - I used the Labels 4 Nestie and then used the Cuttlebug Vintage Corner Die - there is one in there that I wasn't that fussed on, the one with the loops all the way around and then I had a 'relevation' and cut it diagonally and slipped it under each corner - and this is the result - I love it - makes me feel like I have one of those gorgeous Pendant Nesties that is on my 'elusive dreams' Wish List! LOL!  I then added a brad - what do you think - I LOVE it and was telling the whole household, which gave me the 'oh yeah, it;s nice' but underneath had the 'what-ev-er' kind of thing happening!  LOL!

The sentiment is from PTI, I won the set in a Blog Candy - speaking of which, I was thrilled to find I had won Carrie's Blog Candy this morning - nice way to start the day!!   Thanks Carrie - onehappt stamper here!!

Thank you for coming by today, it is always so nice to see you have been, thank you for your lovely comments and the encouragement you always give - I tell my family, this is my other 'happy plac' here with your all!!  I hope you are having a great weekend - see you soon with another creation from my feeble attempts at cleaning my desk....we all know I am dreaming here don't we, but what fun trying!! LOL!  God bless you!

  4. How cute is that! The zoo here in town just got a new giraffebaby after they so sadly lost one last year. This card could not be more perfect for them ;o). I love the blue worn paper you have used in the back there.

Do you draw freehand? Have you heard about "One million giraffes"? It is a norwegian guy who made a bet with his friend that he would be able to collect 1 million giraffes before 2011 just by spreading the word on the internet. He now have 647 000 (and some) giraffes. I don't think your card counts because it is a picture of a giraffe. But if you feel the urge to draw a giraffe or two one day, then think about him and upload your drawing to onemilliongiraffes.com

Oh.. I'm sorry went all into giraffemode there ;o)

  5. Linda, isn't Gunn the best! I love her stories. Your card is beautiful and I'm so glad I came over to see it, it showed up on my sidebar and I couldn't make out the picture...so you got me intrigued! Either that or I need to get glasses!! ha ha! The photo is just precious and giraffe babies with their mums are just so wonderful to watch, our zoo had one last year and people were just mezmerized by them.
I love the blue you used on the card and fantastic job recycling the old card. The corners add a little delicacy and the ribbon slider is the perfect touch! Fantastic card my friend.

  9. Love your card!!

Yup that CB die is one that I took ages to get to use, but was pleased when I did - I slipped the whole thing under a corner with just the border showing on two sides.
