Besides meeting talented friends and seeing what everyone is doing with our art stamps, it’s also a great place to be the first to get all the latest news and freshest artwork from Layers of Color!

I had so much fun making this Scapbook page using the Layers of Color  New release art stamp set Joyful Noise, that I just had to share it with you!  I have used a photo taken when we had a 70's Nite last year - it was so much fun - our kids were given a bit more 'insight' into Mum and Dad! LOL!

I just ADORE this Basic Grey DP, which I was so thriled to receive from my dear friend Melinda (aka Melinda 80) I have enough different BG DP to be using every day for at least a year....the colours in this one just made it perfect for this theme and I love the sentiment on it!!

Music,  'man' - the 70's was all about music - we love music on our house, especially with my DH being a drummer and nothing gets our house rockin' more than a trip down Memory Lane with 70's music - one of girls said in horror as we had the music PUMPING - 'turn it down p-l-e-a-s-e, the neighbours will hear it!' LOL!  How funny is that - have they heard THEIR MUSIC lately!! LOL!

The
The 'groovy' outer flowers are created using the Layers of Color art stamp set Polka Dot Love, they fit perfectly with the gorgeous flower and buttons.

Love the Joyful Noise Flourish - I have cut it out and chalked it, using a Blender Pen.

Love - what a perfect way to depict the 70's - I am also linking this to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge where the theme is PEACE!!  The scripture we are given is:

Psalm 29:11 "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace."

Our friend Jack arrived at the 70's night and gave me this patch - it is from the 70's and took me straight back to that time - how perfect is it - especially for me, as I became a Christian in 1975 and these patches were 'IN' and oh so 'cool' and I still love it!  How could I not give it pride of place in this layout - for me - it is the 70's!!  If I remember correctly I has patched jeans - that had patches on the patches - awww - just the thought of them brings back great memories for me!!

How beautiful is that peace that God gives - nothing can compare with it!  A very special friend of mine had a sign on his desk, in his prayers spot and it read'

Sometimes God calms the storm'
Other times He lets the storm rage
and calms the child!'

This is so true, as much as we would like to have our lives peaceful at all times, that just isn't going to happen BUT what we can have it the Peace of God at all times - and that is worth having!!  We may not avoid going through the odd storm, but our hearts need not be afraid and overwhelmed as the Peace of God is there for us - PHEW - what a relief!!  I need it daily and am so grateful for it!!
