MMSC58 Melting Moment

What a week it has been - while most of you are enjoying the warmer weather, we have been having temperature that are REVOLTING AT Night - around the minus 4-5 degrees Celsius - brrrrrr!!  Great weather for staying home and.....yes...you guessed it...creating!!!  Perfect opportunity to create my Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge card for this week!

I have used an adorable Gurlee Girl image - how adorable are they,  Gurlee Girls was the first one of our sponsors that I used an image from when I first started at MMSC - I have been looking forward to using another one - this Gurlee Girl is perfect with her hot Cocoa!

I coloured her with SU Chalks and a Blender Pen, then cut her out and popped her up with foam dots into some card stock embossed with the Divine Swirls embossing folder - it made me think of swirls of steam from the hot Cocoa!

I enjoyed this sketch but had to do some thinking about the panel at the top - I decided on this white lace and threaded a thing strip of one of the DP's through it, so the colours matched exact, then a small black brad was added in the centre of each lacy flower.

So what do you think of it - I love the colours and the warm feel - it is your turn to show us your stuff' with this weeks sketch - here it is - get creating and I will be there to see your card!

Once again, it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. Its as easy as 1-2-3 click here to see both sketches

  8. Perfect card for your side of the world! Her little rosy cheeks, and hot cocoa. The swirl CB folder is a great idea. You rock, when you put "it all together"! Those little black brads are a nice little detail.

  10. Oh, Linda! This card is soooooo lovely, just like you!!! ~.~ Wanna get warm???....come visit me here in Florida! It's 95+degrees farenheit today, with humidity that will melt you...and right now it's thundering and lightning! I've lived in both extremes...came from Maine, with weather which is more like what it sounds like you're having now, but I do prefer hot over cold!!! Moving to northern California foothills in a couple of months, which will hopefully be a happy medium! Keep warm, and thanks for sharing the wonderful card and for all the lovely comments you leave about my cards! Warm Hugs, Val

  16. Hi Linda!
Pretty, pretty, pretty! It is adorable! I love the colors and patterns.

If you miss the heat I can wrap up some for you and send. It is a little bit to warm for me these days, but it usually don't last for long. The rain will probably pour down troughout July *LOL* It is like that every year, and still all norwegians have summerholiday in July... I don't get it *LOL*
