Lacey Bird

I am excited to be finally able to share a card with you using one of the new Penny Black images illustrated by my dear friend and ever so talented Laura Kirste Campbell - those of you who LOVED Layers of Color and have been missing Laura's artistic flair, will be happy to know she is back and ROCKING the images.

I love this Lacey Bird and the fact that it Co-ordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities is such a plus.

The image has been cut out using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine  and coloured with SU Chalks/Pastels and my new secret weapon - the Tsukineko fantastix - I love these for colouring, they make it so easy - and we love that don't we!

The wing has been partially cut around and popped up onto a foam dot to give dimension but not bulk - to make it easier for posting. The shimmer is added with 3D Kindy Glitz - i love the texture this gives - it adds another dimension to the card.

This card is for the following challenges:
CCEE Stampers - Card with a vintage feel

  9. OH Linda, this is a "MUST HAVE" stamp!! Well, if I had that spellbinders set (heehee). Love that bird, love the chicken wire... such a unique image. Okay, HOW did you get that yellow border? Is that a separate stamp?? Or did you leave the nestie on and sponge yellow inside the frame?? It's sooo PRETTY! *Ü*
