Spellbinders Vertical Chain Layout Tutorial

Hello friends - today I have a Tutorial to share for Spellbinders - I am trying to catch up with Scrapbooking - when I saw this Die - I knew it would be perfect.  Dies are not limited to card making - but can be used on any project - add some of the fabulous stamps available and the possibilities are endless.

• S6-084 Card Creator Vertical Chain Card Front Etched Dies
• SBS-033 Seth Apter Turnarounds Set 2 Stamps
• PL-001 Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Other:

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Imagine Crafts: Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk and Teal Zeal; Sponge Dauber; Red Corrugated card; Washi Tape; Kaisercraft: stick on Bunting, sentiment stickers

1. Cut/emboss one (1) Vertical Chain Card Front using both frame and insert, with cream cardstock.

2. Cut/emboss one (1) Vertical Chain Card Front frame using red corrugated card.

3. Adhere the cream card front to the Die-cut corrugated card.

4. Overlap the photo to the lower left hand portion of the card front, tucking under the middle row of circles.

6. Sponge ares of the red corrugated card using white ink and a sponge dauber.

7. Adhere star embellishments, to the middle row of circles.

8. Adhere numbers to the stars (eg 2014)

9. Attach to blue designer paper using double sided tape - positioned as in main photo,

10. Adhere Kaisercraft sentiment stickers to the right side of the photo.

11. Randomly stamp both Seth Apter Turnarounds Set 2 Stamps using green and red ink12.Adhere Kaisercraft sentiment stickers to the right side of the photo.12.Adhere three strips of Washi Tape to the lower left corner of the layout13.Stamp sentiment stamp above the Washi Tape.14.Colour the sentiment stamp using white ink on the letters and Blue on the circle15.Stamp a texture stamp inside the circles using blue ink.16.Add Bunting diagonally across the top right corner, overlapping onto the photo17.Add white splotches across the layout - avoiding the photoTake care friends and Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Simply Wonderful

Hello Blog friends - it is Sunday evening for me and I have enjoyed time in The Studio today working on some tutorials and magazine commissions - but could not resist creating a quick and easy card.

I have sprayed white cardstock using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko

 Fireworks Spray in Dandelion, Pear Tart and Angel Pink - allow this to dry thoroughly - check out the shimmer - divine!!

The Simply Wonderful Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Decorative Card Front has an outer 

rectangular border die along with the inset. This has been cut using the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.  Black cardstock has been cut to size and popped behind the word wonderful and secured usingScrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner. This has then been adhered to the sprayed cardstock and popped up into white cardstock, but lightly larger, using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Simply Said - You Mean the World to Me

Hello Blog friends - I  could not resist sharing another project I have created for you using another Die from the Spellbinders  Simply Said Collection.  If you missed yesterdays post you can see it HERE.

This wonderful You Mean The World Die does not need anything but the Die,cardstock,adhesive  and in this case a little patterned paper and ink.The intricate designs do all of the work and allow us to create an easy card with the WOW factor!  I have to add here - perfect for the 'dreaded man card' too.

I have cut/embossed the You Mean The World using the  Platinum™ Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Before removing the cardstock from the Die the top part of the sentiment and the embossed frame have been sponged using a darker brown ink and Sponge Dauber - my daubers are kept 'fully loaded' so are quite a mixture of colours - loving the current shade!

A small scrap of paper from my stash has been adhered behind the world globe - believe it is a retired Basic Grey piece.  Blue cardstock has been added behind the 'world' sentiment.  A recycled map page has been adhered behind the Die cut and this has been popped up using 3D Foam Tape onto dark brown cardstock that has been cut slightly larger than the patterned layer.

It is as easy as that - I did tell you it was easy - didn't I!!

Summer Leaves

Hello Blog Friends - I am using one of the Spellbinders Card Fronts today - I love these, they are so easy to use and add such fabulous details to a project.

I have used the Leaves a Fallin' Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Decorative Card Front, that has been cut using white card and the Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

The addition of some May Arts Ribbon adds such a pretty touch, followed by a flower - don't you love the summery feel that the background paper has added.  I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

Spellbinders It's a Hoot Tutorial

How are you loving the new Spellbinders Dies - the Card Fronts make it so easy to create a card...and there is no limit to the styles.  I had a lot of fun with this one - it can either be keep CAS (Clean and Simple), or you can add to it - as I have done - you can see how in the Step by Step Tutorial below.

Other Supplies: White card, black card, yellow and kraft scraps, Yellow/White Baker's Twine

 1. Cut/emboss white card using both Dies from the It's a Hoot Decorative Card Fronts
 2. Remove excess pieces of card from the Die
3. Using Die as a Stencil, sponge over all of the white card showing through ie. Wings, using Desert Sand Ink.

















 4. Cut scraps of yellow card and adhere to eyes using liquid glue
 5. Cut Kraft card to fit inside owl shapes, trim to size.
 6. Adhere 'It's a Hoot' to black card base (previously cut using cutting edge Die.

 7. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black
 8. Cut using small tag from Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®
 9. Use Die as a Stencil and sponge around the inside edges using Electric Yellow
10. Adhere to the card using Bakers Twine, secure using liquid glue
11.  Draw on eyes using Black Sharpie/Marker and White Pen
