The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Hello friends, today I am sharing a card created usiing a Penny Black Inc Collage image - I do love these stamps - colouring them - so easy and so pretty - we all have times when we need a quick card but want it to have that WOW factor - this is when collage images come into their own.

I have stamped the image using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and have coloured the image using  Chameleon Art Pens. I have to say, it is so easy to colour using the self blending pens - definitely a favourite with me.  The collage been cut/embossed using a retired Spellbinders Die and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The computer generated sentiment has also been popped up onto a pre-cut card base using using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Want2Scrap pearls have been added to the butterflies bodies  and finishing off randomly adding sequins.

From Our House to Yours

Hello friends, if you are anything like me - your days are flying by and it is already summer for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere! The beginning of December is summer for us and with it comes Christmas - are you ready??  Seems to me, no matter how ready we think we are - there is always that last minute rush....or is it just me!?!?

In the meantime I am trying to use some of the things that gather on my desk - it is an endless job, as I add to it every day - but it is fun to see what I can create and often a distraction from the things I should be doing! LOL!

My Die is Spellbinders Row Houses and is from a Kit I used when teaching a Workshop in Sydney. It has been cut using black card stock an adhered to a strip of yellow card stock.

The moon has been created using Crackle Medium and a circle stencil - a negative Die from Spellbinders Standard Circles LG.  This has been applied to the patterned paper using a spatula, and allowed to dry - the crackle appears as it dries - fun to watch!

I have coloured some of the windows using a Black Sharpie to give the impression that only some lights are on in these buildings.  The stars have been created using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

E-Z Stars Runner Refillable Dispenser .  I have added some yellow ink and sparkle to each star.

The sentiment has been created using a Dymo - a great score from a garage sale for $1 - I am using it for so many things and love it for sentiments.

Flourishes Friday Free for All Blog Hop - Interactive Card

Hello Flourishes Friends! Welcome to the first Flourishes LC Free for All Blog Hop for December  - I hope you are ready for more inspiration today.  This week Rebecca has challenged us to create an 'interactive card' - are you intrigued?!?  I know I was!!  If you have come from Beverly's Blog you are in the right place, if not, please go to the Flourishes Blog and start from the beginning.

I have used the Year in Flower 2  illustrated by Beverly Cole.

I have stamped the Californian Poppy three times onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured them using Chameleon Art Pens. They have been fussy cut/ hand cut out and popped up on to layered Die cuts.  The sentiment has also been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink.  It has been trimmed and layered into green card stock and popped across the stems of the poppies.  The layered Dies are popped up onto embossed designer paper, followed by a pre-cut card base.  A twine bow and small button have been added to the left of the sentiment.

I have made the card 'interactive' by creating a pocket - to put a Gift Card or cash.  I have repeated the Californian Poppy and softly coloured it in the same tones as the front.  A sentiment from the Clover and Bees Stamp set has been added to the pocket using black ink.

Be sure to visit the other designers' pages today, your next stop is Naomi's Blog, then go shopping at Flourishes!
