SSIC Armour Pocket card

Don't you just love the weekend - time to 'chill out' for most of us and who doesn't love that!!  Today is the Stampin' Sisters for Christ Challenge - what fun we had last week (and every week) it is so inspiring visiting your Blogs and galleries - this week will be no exception!

Kristine is our sponsor for this week, she has an Old Testament scripture

And David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod.
2 Samuel 6:14

Kristine's challenge is inspired by  DANCING - Make a card that "moves" (ie. tilt card, slider, pop up, waterfall, etc. - LOTS on SCS resources)

I have created a pocket card and could not go past using these vintage flavoured sets from Stampin' Up - Notably Ornate and Amour - they screamed by name at a Workshop I hosted - not hard to create with these sets!

I added extra texture and layers, in vintage style keeping to these soft colours.

A glass bead (thingy - I can't think of the name of it sori!! LOL!) has been placed over little cherub, this has all been layered into a flower that has been sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Tattered Leather.

The Epoxy Labels are from some RAK's I have received - I am never sure how to use them - but have found out that they work here!  LOL!  Now I can use the rest of them!!

The vintage feel has been carried across to the tag - finishing it off perfectly (in my opinion!)

You can see of the dimension and the way it all comes together here - this is one of those cards projects that has grown along the way - it was a pure pleasure to create it - I hope you have enjoyed looking and are inspired - even a little bit!!

This card is for the followng challenges:
Craft Your Days Away - Fancy Folds
Little Claire's - Things With Wings - (Cherub)
Sugar Creek HollowVintage, Shabby Chic or Primitive - Wing Things
Bling It OnAnything Goes
Our Vintage Affair Card Challenge Must be vintage/shabby style - Wedding

Crafty Catz - Tag
Allsorts - Free & Easy
Card and Scrap - Use Punches/Dies - Oval and Corner punches
Moving Along With The Times - favourtie things (Vintage, Seam binding)
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes

The prize is a $10.00 store credit
You can see Kristine's devotional on over at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge.
Make sure you stop by the Design Team Blogs and see that gorgeous 'works of the heart' they have created for you!!

Thank you for visiting with me today - I always love to see you and appreciate the encouraging comments you leave me - you make my day!!  I have a busy week this week as we are running a Children's Programme at our local Marketplace every morning - but will always find CREATIVE time in the evenings - I tell my DH that I am saving him money - therapy is $150 an hour and crafting is so-o-o much cheaper - well in theory anyway!  LOL!  I hope you have some YOU time this week and maybe even find some time to visit us at the Stampin' Sister in Christ Challenge!  God bless you!
