Twilight Birthday

Hello friends, thank you for all of your visits and comments both here and on facebook - they are all read and greatly appreciated!  Today I am sharing a card I created while having a break from some commissioned work and this is the outcome!

I have used 'that Folder' that came with one of the Australian Simply Cards Magazines - it was so popular and you can see why - can't you?!.  I have used it for pretty feminine cards but had a lot of fun with some texture and darker colours - I am really liking the almost grungy feel to this one - how about you?

The sentiment is also from a free set from the Australian Simply Cards magazine - they have such fabulous free gifts each month.  I have also used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares + E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser and  Want2Scrap white pearls.

Spellbinders BIG Birthday

Hello Friends!  Today I am sharing a card created using Spellbinders Happy Birthday Easel Celebrate the Day by Marisa Job - it makes quite a statement don't you think?!?  Not only that - this could be the quickest layered card you are likely to create - now that I have your attention...LOL!

The card front has seen embossed using the Grid Embossing Folder on white card stock.  I have trimmed the Happy Birthday Easel to make it single sided and adhere to the lower portion of the card front using liquid glue.  The 'happy' has been created using stickers from my stash!

The card front has been layered onto a pre-cut card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares - and there you have it - it is as easy as that!!

A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello friends, It is Monday evening for me and it has been a beautiful autumn day.  I spent some of the morning out in the garden with my grandson Noah, who loves playing with the hose and kicking a ball around - at the same time!!  It is a beautiful time of year.

Speaking of beautiful - this Scribbly Birds stamp set - by Dina Wakley - I have loved it since it came out - but it was so hard to get.  At the recent Scrap Girls Retreat one of the ladies happened to have a set for sale, as she had ordered two, by mistake.  My dear friend knew I was after it and got in very quickly for me - one happy stamper here!!

The image has been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, then coloured using Versafine Ink in Vintage Sepia (love this shade of brown) and Memento Luxe in Rose Bud, using sponge daubers.

The coloured bird has been hand cut and popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares onto white card that has been sponged using the same inks used to colour the bird then layered onto a precut cardbase.  The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk set.  Postmarks have been randomly added, along with Washi Tape and Linen Thread.  The precut base has been cut/embossed using 5x7 Matting Basics A Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator and the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

It's a Boy Thing

Hello Blog Friends - I hope you are making it through the week without too much going on.  Life nowadays is so busy we often don't have the time to make the most of moments.

I have had some Studio time and played with these robot images that have been stamped waiting for some colour for some time - I have used Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento Markers and love the result.

The robots have been fussy cut/hand cut and popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L3D Foam Squares for dimension onto the A2 Distressed Edges Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator.  This has then been 'splashed' using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Fireworks Sprays in Dandelion, Danube Blue, Bamboo Leaves and Summer Sky.

The sentiment is from Clear Stamps and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko VersaMagic.

The second card has the same image but coloured slightly differently and popped up on a Diecut from the A2 Modern Stationary Card Creator.  This has then been 'splashed' using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Fireworks Sprays in Dandelion, Tangelo and Summer Sky.  The sentiment is from Flourishes.

These cards are for the following challenges:
Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes

Hello Blog Friends, I am popping in to say hello and share a 'whimsical' card.  I have to say - 'how cute is this robot!?!'  When I saw it I just had to have it - it really is my first 'little boy' stamp and I cannot wait to use it more...

The image has been coloured using Chameleon Pens - it is so easy to get the different shades of one colour in one pen - it doesn't get much easier!!  The background paper is from Anna Griffin Inc and is so versatile. The robots head and body have been stamped for a second time and once coloured, they have been hand cut and popped up onto Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L3D Foam Squares.

Winnie the Pooh Birthday

I am back with a little change of pace for me - do you remember what life was like before it got complicated?  Winnie the Pooh takes me straight back to that place in my childhood - such a wonderful time.

While sorting through some bits and pieces I came across some Winnie the Pooh stickers I have had for years and decided it was time I used them to create a child's birthday card - what child does not love Winnie the Pooh - he is timeless!

I layered the sticker onto white card that has been cut/embossed with the  Labels Twenty-Nine Spellbinders® Nestabilities.  This has then been popped up using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ foam dots into blue card embossed using the So Trendy Spellbinders® M-Bossabilities™ folder, using the Grand Calibur® machine.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set and has been cut/embossed with the Ribbon Banners
Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Grand Calibur® machine.  The flower is an older one form my stash - by KaiserCraft.
