Take Delight in the Lord

Hello friends, thank you for dropping in and for the comments you leave - I always love to know you have been.  I thought I would great another quick card using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Thirty-Eight Etched Dies as I usually cut a few when I have a die out...makes it very quick if you need a card in a hurry!

The card base has been created using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Thirty-Eight Etched Dies #7 (#1 being the smallest) The card front has been cut using light blue card stick using  Labels Thirty-Eight #6 using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine .

The beautiful flower from Flourishes,lc has been coloured using Chameleon Pens and fussy cut/hand cut using scissors.  The wonderful sentiment is from the SpellbindersTake Delight Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink.  The Bible Journal stamps are also great for card making or scrapbooking - so versatile and uplifting.  The verse has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and lightly sponged using Radiant Neon ink in Electric Yellow.  The patterned edges have been coloured using Chameleon Pens.

The sentiment image has been adhered the card front using double sided tape, the flowered has been popped up onto the side of the sentiment using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares, with the stems overlapping onto the sentiment image and secured with double sided tape.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Home is Where the Heart Is

Hello Flourishes Friends! Welcome to the first Flourishes LC September Challenge (and my very first post as a Senior Designer) where Vicki has challenged us to use Gold on our cards.  Not  a hard challenge for me - I love to use gold ink - such a lovely warm glow.  If you have come from Beverly's Blog you are in the right place.

I stamped the  image onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured using watercolour markers.  This has then been cut out using an oval Die, which has been used as a stencil before removing the card stock, by sponging using gold ink and a sponge dauber.  I have to say - doesn't that chair look so comfy - I could spend many hours there - on a veranda or under a tree.

The Oval has then been popped up using  3D Foam Squares to give it dimension onto embossed card stock that has also been inked with gold ink - this time I used a brayer - it works so well on embossing, I like the crisper finish it has,  The sentiment has also been stamped using black ink an diecut, sponged with gold ink and popped up on 3D Foam Squares. I have finished off with some gorgeous blue ribbon, a button and twine.

Please check out the other great designs from the rest of the Design Team - the next stop along the way is Nancy.

It is time for this weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge, this weeks hostess is the lovely Peggysue, who has chosen:

Make a card that to you represents peace or calm; with an image, color scheme, CAS layout or verse, something that speaks peace to you, but peace symbols themselves are excluded. The card has to speak peace through your own style.  John 16:33

There is nothing more peaceful than being in the garden, we often unwind as we water the plants, it is so relaxing after a busy day, especially in an Australian summer.

Flourishes are encouraging us to  THINK PINK!  this week  and I have made  a card to join in - although my card does not look that pink in this photo - it is in real life and that is what counts!

I have used the Flourishes Butterflies & Blossoms stamp set, stamping it onto a Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestabilities, using the Die as a Stencil before the card is removed.

The sentiment is from JustRite and the gorgeous bling is JustRite® Stampers

The Pretty pink paper is from My Mind's Eye™. My Die has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

Flourishing Hydrangeas

Today I am sharing a  card with you that I have just finished creating for my Card Design Class tomorrow night.

One of the ladies asked if I can show them how to create a Waterfall Card, I had to do a little 'research' and this is what I came up with.

I have a tutorial ready to show you very soon.  I was pleasantly surprised how easy is to get this cascading effect.  I have used the Hydrangea stamp set from Flourishes llc it works perfectly as you can see from the following photos showing you the various steps of the waterfall.

The images have been coloured in using SU Chalks/Pastels and had 3D Kindy Glitz added to the centres for that sparkle.

The vintage lace is from my stash and the bling is from Want2Scrap, I don't seem to be able to create a card without adding bling these days - love the stuff!

This card is for the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Always Anything Goes!
Love to Create - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Vintage/Shabby Chic - Sparkle
